Man I always love this woman. Them no pocket jeans were everything.

Good Times aired before I was born (1974 - 1979). Back in the early-2000s, TBS used to air the show in syndication. A few episodes daily. Caught one of the ads when my dad was over visiting, and he told me I should record the show (on the VCR) as it was great. Did that for a number of months. Immediately realized she was fine as fuck as she was shitting on most of the TV & movie stars of the day (early-2000s). And that's watching VHS episodes recorded in EP (extended play - 6 hour) format amidst other recordings of TV shows, bball games, etc. Long before the day of DVRs, HD, etc.

I got boxes full of VHS tapes because my dad also told me to record shows like this because of not knowing when it would stop airing and would not be able to see it again lol. I remember EP and tape quality being better with 2 HR recordings too. They had the same reruns in early 90's too on TBS during Cosby and Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Family Matters era.

So many VHS tapes back in the day. Old All-Star games, sitcoms, latenight T&A movies, some wrestling, RapCity countdown episodes.

Early youtube was a haven for people uploading their archives. Changed the game!

Agreed. Lots of people uploading stuff straight from VHS.

Funny thinking back to those early days. Used to leave Napster, Bearshare, Kazaa, and Limewire programs on for days trying to download everything. Getting a call from the old service provider (Shaw) saying I was way over my monthly data caps for uploads / downloads. If I remember correctly ... they had limits way back of only 4 - 6 GB, haha.

Lady on the phone said I had downloaded 122GB during a portion of the month.

Me playing dumb ... "how could that be?"

Said she could send me some info packages on how NOT to over-download, or risk getting billed a higher amount.

Speaking of that DL, BGOL early days was also crazy with the picture loading in threads. It is crazy how fast we can now download full movies and we still complain at the speed. The amount of data we use on phone nowadays makes back then seem like Flintstone days lol.

Oh yeah - those horrible years of dial-up internet. People posting the "56k ... beware!"

When everything moved in slow motion. Felt like sludge or quicksand.

Or when it was obvious service providers were data throttling (when you tried for larger files).

Crazy how much the speeds vary across file hosts these days too. Some great ... others terrible.
