I remember Pops Wobble and Uncle Wobble talking about her. Pops: "That bitch turned out Miles!"

Uncle Wobble, nodding his head: "I saw 'em on the Upper West Side once. I can believe it, she was that fine!"

I only hope she eventually got her money.

Like a lot of brothas in this thread, I saw her documentary a few months ago. What a unique, fearless, gifted and beautiful lady she was!
I wish she would have gotten more shine on earth.

May she shine forever in the heavenly realm.

Never heard of her to know who she was, however, I am sure I have seen her before.

I hate I wasn’t hip earlier. Your mind wanders when you find someone this fine and this funky!
RIP, she was trail blazer and very elusive. She was queen of Funk, & she taught Miles Davis how to dress. Also, she named Miles' album "Bitches Brew."
I think I learned this in his documentary, but I am not sure.
Oh no:(

I was just watching her documentary on Amazon last night
 On the list for the month. Had no idea.

Just caught the documentary last night.

Love her!

She sacrificed herself and her career for the ability of Black woman funk and hip hop legends could eat.

It was sad, yet inspiring that her story finally got told.
