Wow. They really care about that shit like that? Niggas need ta pay that shit no mind. In a perfect world all the black artists would just don't show up for that shit. All interviews everybody on code and say "Just didn't feel like going. They don't support us, we dont support them." No speeches, no yelling, no cussing and then everybody show up to Soul Train awards or some shit.

I want to like this, but I don't know. You seek validation in the area of your field.
Actors want Oscars or Golden Globes or Emmys or even Tony's (stage actors)
Musical artists want Grammy's
Authors want to NTY Best Seller Lists
You know you put out great shit, but it's nice to know a good majority thought that you put out great work, too. That your hard work is appreciated

If that was the case then why was Rapsody nominated. I bet you most people who claim listen to hip hop did not listen to that album. I did and it’s really dope but not better than that Tribe album.

The only reason those awards matter is cause they were first.
We need our own, and massive support for our own. As Malcolm said " they can support but they can't join".
