Didn't get a chance to see it but I guess Viola Davis didn't take best actress. Her co-star won best supporting but shit props to Idris man. Dude been putting in work for a minute. We all know him as Stringer Bell and shit we all know him as Luther too. He's doing the damn thing with Luther. Hopefully this means even more of Luther in the near future.

they brought the music up on his azz at the end

mutha fuka thankin everybody in the phone book. but why all those other actors look so dayum salty? :roflmao:

ole sore loser azzes

Typical cacs

But anyway his character on Luther trumps what he did w/ String on The Wire...I been said that but a lot of niggas be crushing on Stringer Bell so they don't wanna hear that

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they just look like that. One of those niggas was McNulty from the Wire and I would think they were great friends since both of them were on the Wire and both are brits. But shit I think he was also nominated for that same award so he might've been a tad bit salty.

I don't see how you can argue one way or the other. Both are great roles. I'd give the nod to Stringer simply because how he fooled so many into thinking he was really from B-More or at the very least from America and then you hear him in a interview and hear that british accent. Shit I know I was like that. But personally I think its far easier for him to be Luther than it was for him to be Stringer. Its funny how The Wire never won any awards but actors from that Show are consistently winning awards or being nominated for some.

I'm a fan of British tv. It's prob the best producer of tv content out there. Can't for Luther this spring or summer

What network is Luther shown?

Its a Brit series but after its shown over there they usually air it over in the US on BBC America. I've tried to put some of my friends on to it but they can't fuck with the accents or the direction of the show. I simply don't understand it but shit I guess if you get used to the repititive dumbed down cop shows like Law and Order and CSI you can't really appreciate something like Luther.

Luther's character was multi-dimensional it allowed for Elba to demonstrate more range

damn, those white ppl lookin all pissed. why the hell you all got your foreheads balled up???

Gotta love BGOL. I kept on swung seeing that Luther Theresa's thread grow and said "eff it, it can't be THAT good" . Son, that -ish was visual crack! Best show I have seen in years. Props to him on the win. That show is exceptional!

Congrats to Idris. Glad he got props for the show, he earned it. Luther is one of, if not the best written and acted shows on TV.

First season of Luther is on NETFLIX. I've gotten like 10 people hooked on that shit. That redhead chick is a fucking beast.

They were staring bc they was as probably shocked as I was at his accent.:lol:

I happened to catch the whole show. All the actors had to get the music up on them.

best show on tv... wish they did more episodes per season... but show so good I am entertained by the few they put out...

Massive Props to Idris and the Luther team! That series is great tv.

The Luther thread in the TV section was popping the first two seasons. Props to whoever first brought attention to the show to the main forum. My chick and I are huge fans.

You thought they looked salty? I just thought they were watching the show.

Good for him. I don't know him as Stringer Bell but I love "Luther".

On my comic geek list of guys who should play T'Challa for any "The Black Panther" movie, he' second (behind Chiwetel Ejiofor).

I have to admit that since I've been in BGOL I've watched and listened to more shit than I would normally think about. Somebody in here turned me on to Luther a while ago so I checked it out on BBC America and was hooked. Dude has nothing but hate and jealousy around him but he still gets the jobs done. He's definitely the man on that show.
