Police Harass Black Man Legally Carrying A Gun

I just read that in CT...the officers do have a right to request to see his permit...that black officer exacerbated the situation tho...could've easily just explained that to the dude...this why I prefer conceal carry tho...that holster shit draws too much attention imo...wonder if they woulda approached a white guy carrying an assault rifle on his back lol

wow the black one was even worse...came in on some straight bully shit :smh:

"BLACK COP SHOWIN OUT FO THA WHITE COP"

Y'all do realize that the assault weapons bans only started really getting enforced in the northeast back in the 60s once the Black Panthers started walking around carrying assault rifles legally.... Before that, it was open season for everyone.... This is just history repeating.

This the bullshit I'm talking about... Brotha's got to be smart... Open carry is fine but why draw that attention to yourself? Especially as a black man?

Johnny cac see you walking and call 911.. You know he's going to exaggerate what the fuck he's seeing and tell 911 " there's a black guy walking around with a gun threatening people" when I reality you just walking down the block Minding your business..

Then you will have some cowboy ass cop come out guns shooting and you get shot dead over some bullshit lie from a 911 caller..

As for this idiot in this video that entire situation could have done left.. All because this dude want to open carry... Leave that open carry to Cacs.. Keep your shit concealed... You always have the upper hand when you conceal

Great..kid made his point of law but, the whole situation could've easily gone sideways quickly at any point with any p.d. If things would go badly, fat ass supervisor, ofc. cacs and even the store manger would sign-off on how homie brandished a weapon in a robbery attempt...

They are more than entitled to unload their clip and continue to make up whimsical tales of being threatened. Eventually it would lead to the destruction of a couple state laws and eventually the FOP.

Fuck the open carry its more trouble than it's worth

We all know its not for us

And man I don't feel like being bothered I would have just showed the permit and kept it moving

Rather just have a gun concealed either way

The point being is that he should be able to exercise his right as a citizen. Whether you think open and carry is a hassle, he pays his taxes just like everyone else. He should be treated with the same respect by the law as anyone else would. And if he isn't, put those fools on blast.

I honestly believe is he was not recording this in real time, then he would have been shot to death by one or more of those officers.

There is a good chance :smh:

He was already visibly armed so that's the excuse right there

The officers, "mystery person(s)"who reported the alleged incident of him carrying out in the open and the white subway employees could have "FELT THREATENED" at any time. That would have justified the murder of this law abiding citizen in their eyes.

I am glad that he made it out of this one alive.

Forget a million man march. Black men should do a million legally armed man march. This is ridiculous.

i would have went right down to the station not later but right after that moment and filed a complaint!! Bullshit aint about nothing..put that paper work on their asses.. they may not even investigate but that paper work will b in their files!

just because something is legal doesnt mean it is smart. dude made that situation much worse than it had to be. if you open carry you are intentionally drawing attention to yourself it is much easier to just show your weapon permit and keep it moving instead of having a debate about the law with officers.

A nigga named BeatDown advocating living in fear... Damn

It's his right as an American, he should be able to exercise them as he pleases.

I'd sue the police department for harassment and discrimination...

how the cop going to go to a manager of the subway and ask them not to service a private citizen?

:bravo: this dude did his homework. He knew the law concerning the permit and being approached by the police.
No he was stupid. Why the fuck would you carry a loaded gun into a subway with it plainly on your hip? Just because you can does not mean it is right.

You bring up a great point about the cop going to the manager, but the subway sandwich spot is a private business they can deny service to whom ever the hell they want. However it is the cop's right as a civil servant to question the dude to see if he has a permit being that he's walking around with a holstered firearm in I'm guessing CT.. Their gun laws are pretty strict especially after the sandy hook shooting.

But dude to say I'm advocating fear is some bullshit and you know it.. Why do black folk always feel we got to follow white folk lead especially with this open carry debate? Black folk to blinded by the illusion of inclusion.. There have been countless times dumb ass white folk who open carry got robbed of their fire arms..

All I'm saying is for us black folk concealed carry not only benefits us it's a big tactical advantage for us period..

Not all cops are the same and for this brotha in the vid that shit could have gone way way left and for what? All because he wanted to prove something? Who's to say that cac that approached him Could have shot him for going for his cellphone to record and the cop would have said "the subject was going for his gun that was in plain view and at that point I feared for my safety and the safety of the customers inside the store"

Folk dappin dude in the vid bout he know the law when he didn't cite any law proving he doesn't have to show a permit.. The cop was well within his authority to ask to see the guys permit..

Plain clothes cops when on duty and gun in open view have to have their shields displayed so why don't this guy have to produce his permit when asked?

The supervisor left the shit alone and told home boy to beat it because homeboy dropped a few names who work in internal affairs and the supervisor obviously knew who their were..

Not once homeboy cited any law to say he doesn't have to show ID or a gun permit due to him open carrying

No disrespect-
But it's advocating fear to not do something because the outcome may not go the way you wanted.

I would rather you see my pistol than assume it's there... you do realize the AUTOMATIC ASSUMPTION is he is armed and dangerous anyway, Right?

He shouldn't have to quote the law to a peace officer, he asked the correct questions - Phrasing and grammar excluded.

Who's to say that If He was CC'ing that some random citizen wouldn't have caught a glimpse as he adjusted his belt or jacket.... can you image how THAT interaction with the police would have gone?

Your post reads
Stay in line
Keep your head down
Avoid police -keep them calm and not afraid
Give up yor rights -you are a black man you should know that's only reserved for whites.

I can't see that as anything else but fear.
