Looking for the best case etc for an Ipad for the kids...

many cases don't have EVERYTHING

Looking for something sturdy

a folio...so it can be covered and also has a stand on it....

maybe a screen protector INCLUDED or a protective case that an accommodate a screen shield

even one of those cases with the handle.

Thanks fam.

playa did you get your little one an ipad yet?

I'm thinking of getting my lil mans a ipod touch or ipad myself

I was against it..but them grand parents are undefeated.

So yup.

So far its good,

bgol parents have helped to decide what apps and how to set ti up so that helped immensely.

I noticed that a lot of the better apps were Ipad ONLY and they use them in her school

and since their Mom is apple disciple she ALREADY had a ton of apps paid for on her account so it made sense.

Are u looking at the mini or full sized one? My son has had a mini for like 3 years and for a 4 year old his case and screen protectors have held up very well.

Mini 4 what case you got?

my issue is that most cases seem to not fit if you attach one of those separate glass screen protectors.

I got a soft case and a bluetooth keyboard hard case for an ipad mini. All on Amazon for around $25 for the bluetooth setup or much less for the dumb cases.

How old are your kids? There is alot of evidence that screen time negatively effects kids attention span and ability to learn. I've seen the effects myself. While it is much easier to manage a kid if they stare at their ipad, I strongly advise against getting one for a young kid.

I held off and I'm still not a big fan...but the grandparents are undefeated.

I was gonna wait till middle school but that was unrealistic...they using it in her school oldest almost 10...but she is aint a big TV person or even cellphone like that (not that she has one)

but there programs a and apps I have had recommended to me so I can obviously UNDERSTAND the positives.

Does your child live with the Grandparents? If not, maybe you can have them keep the iPad to entertain your child when he/she is in their company. I know alot of schools use electronics with the idea that exposing them early helps them, but there is no evidence that this is true. I happen to personally know quite a few people that work in tech from Developers to the head of Marketing at Twitter. ALL of them restrict their kids' screen time. Those reading/ learning programs have shown to stunt learning rather than help learning. I'm not sure if you have already made up your mind and i'm wasting my time, but I remember in the past that your were pretty passionate about your child's education. Decisions like this make the difference between school coming easy and the teacher saying your child has attention problems. I have the same fight as you in that my son's Maternal Parents insist on giving my son an iPad when they see him. They don't have the forward thinking or expectations that I have. I've sent them articles and studies that show it harms and the retort is always "All that Science doesn't compare to real life experience! I've raised kids for almost 40 years!". Meanwhile none of their children ended up successful by most people's measure.

Been there done that. Otterbox, period. Only thing that will keep a hellion from destroying good money.
