why do you say that?
Because it already his $96 on this announcement. If a real tug of war starts, it’ll go below $90 easily as they offer more money and look weak. If they lose…sudden drop to the low $80 range. People might even cancel and move to Paramout or whomever wins it. There’s a new Harry Potter series coming and if Netflix doesn’t get it :smh:

I mean technically they weren't going to have it, when it was first announced, at least not initially. I've seen too many "streaming exclusives" magically pop up on competing services at some point, especially stuff on Paramount plus popping up on Amazon Prime. It seemed it was Prime available and not going through the Paramount Plus add on.

if you ever VPN overseas Netflix, they will have some HBO stuff that is on HBO only in the US. I believe I saw the Snyder Cut in one of the random counties I was checking out. According to Perplexity, Netflix overseas is still showing Friends until the end of December 2025. I don't expect these types of arrangements to change.

Netflix will take a short term hit, but in the long run they will be fine. How many times has it been reported that netflix is about to be dethroned?

So why the theatre? It isn't like they're going to ever break even on the deal. Do y'all remember Time Warner and AOL?
good question.. i don't think Netfilx was necessarily looking to buy Warner... Wanerbros put themselves out there.

To me it seemed like a good fit because Netflix could get a good foothold in movie theaters.....because why not?

but everyone seems scared they are trying to destroy the movies theater experience. IMO why not do both... multiple streams (pun) of income and all that..

Don't forget about physical media.

Netflix buying WB could mean they immediately stop releasing anything on physical media since they rarely do with any of their current content.
