Got that lil extra money in my paycheck from his bullshit tax bill for the rich. Still not fucking with that devil though.

Who else seen a bump?

Anybody on here old enough to remember that bullshit $500 tax rebate GW Bush pushed through back in his first term? Per usual, but a repub tax cut helped drive up the deficit and tank the economy. Those who received that little one-time bonus will be laid off in 2 years...costing them much more $$$ in the long-run.

Folks stack your chips...its going to be bad by 2020.

lol its basically peanuts. I see all over the news they are giving 1 Time Bonus of $1,000. That is nothing compared to the billions These Corporations saved from the Tax Cuts, That basically funded by tax payers.
Right? But even if it did mean something, I wouldn't make the tradeoff. We're looking and acting like garbage in the eyes of the rest of the world right now. That, and I have to try and sleep at night.

I remember all of the folks that I told they weren't going to end up getting anything back. And they were all, "Nah. Everybody's supposed to get it." I didn't even understand all of the economics behind it at the time. I just knew it was too good to be true (and it was).

C'mon man is 20 bucks a check that serious
Not at all... just beat our resident trump dick riders to the punch before they come here talking about how he have blessed them with a pay raise. Only thing the shit did was lower the fed tax, essentially given you more of your money that you earned. This ain’t shit to be happy about and the amount is definitely not anything to be happy about.

Tax cuts didnt even go into effect yet.

Yes it did... most will see it this pay cycle the rest will see it their first pay check in February.

Oh a sarcasm post my bad.

I don't get paid until tomorrow so can't compare checks yet, but yeah, $20 isn't gonna be anything special. Trump will probably scream and shout about it for 6 months though so people realize the extra is there though.

Not sure how many people remember, but the 2009 Obama stimulus was like 35% made up of tax cuts and part of those cuts were to most of our income taxes , so for a couple years there we were getting something like $18 more per check until the cuts expired. He (Obama) didn't advertise it at all though, and if you're like me with direct deposit, you may not notice a small increase like that.... so he really should have played it up more to at least put it out there.

When Bush did something similar after the post 9/11 recession, he had checks sent out for several hundred bucks instead of doing it in $20 increments, and I think that was inefficient but at least everybody who got a check noticed that they were getting money.

Yep..I remember when the Obama tax expired and checks got a little slimmer. The fucked up part is most companies only give between 2 and 4 percent raises to begin with. If you got a 401k and you contributing 3 or more percent, then your health insurance increased this year as well ..after all that shit you end up with. 1% raise if that. For those of you whom have a state tax, it’s even worse.

In political gamble, GOP gives permanent tax cuts to corporations, but not people
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ations-but-not-people/?utm_term=.8277867dc413

Put another way, in 2018, households earning $1 million or more — or, 0.4 percent of all tax filers — would be getting 16.5 percent of the total benefit from the bill.

In 2027, households earning $1 million or more — estimated to be 0.6 percent of all filers — would be getting 81.8 percent of the total benefit, even though their average tax break would be about $46,000 smaller in 2027 than in 2018.

The Republican tax overhaul plan has proven unpopular with voters. Just 26 percent of Americans approve of the plan, according to according to a poll released Monday by Monmouth University, compared with 47 percent who disapprove of it. (The poll was conducted before the joint conference committee released its final version.)

In addition, the poll showed that a plurality of Americans — 50 percent — believe the tax plan would raise their taxes.

The Tax Policy Center analysis shows that for most of the next decade, most of those people would be wrong. As stated above, in 2018, only 5 percent of taxpayers would have tax hikes, and by 2025, only 9 percent would.

But in 2027, those people would be pretty close to the truth (at least, by the center's estimates). In 2027, 53 percent of tax filers would have a tax hike.

I thought I was truly blessed.

I was walking down the street and to my surprise I saw a bright shiny nickle and next to it was a crumbled up piece of paper.

So I stopped and picked up that bright shiny nickle and kicked the paper to the side.

Then I heard a woman that was walking up the block following me scream with delight.... She picked up that dirty piece of crumbled paper and it was a hunnert dollar bill...

and i didn't even notice cause i was mesmerized by that bright shiny nickle.

You really don’t see much unless you own a business that makes a lot of money.
