Like a cross between chicken and non fishy tasting fish. Definitely has a "muddy" taste to it, but the texture is very similar to chicken. Gator nuggets are good as fuck.

I live in FL, only time you really see gators is when you look for them near water ways. We live across from a lake, always see smaller ones swimming, but they always swim away.

They really don't like to fuck with humans unless you crazy enough to feed 'em or got small pets that look like a meal to them. We had one in a nearby pond that was about 3-3.5ft. It stayed away from the little dock area until the crazy ass neighbors started feeding it then FWC had to come take it outta there. There's another neighborhood nearby that backs up to a decent sized lake and it's nothing to see 10 footers out there when I go fishing.
