Damn, I had it all wrong! I thought the independent doctor had the final say as to whether or not a player can return to the field, but he doesn't. Chris Canty read a section from the NFL's own site, and it's the team doctor or the doctor that the team assigns to evaluate that player that has the final say. Doctors being paid by the team.
Why in the fuck did the NFLPA agree to this?!
