Notice that since Obama is coming close to the end of his Presidency that he's being more outspoken about issues and also showing his personal feelings as well... That's the Obama I like to see and I thoroughly understand why he had to 'tow the line' and be diplomatic throughout the early part of his leadership.

I'm sure that he will continue to speak out and and give many more hard hitting facts during his final year in charge... after all, "He has no more campaigns to run."

"outspoken"?

As in talking the shit but producing nothing concrete?

Where is his foreign policy that is informed by this opinion?

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

historically the last 2 years of any presidency is where the majority of his PERSONAL platform is pushed.

Exactly. This speech was nothing as it will lead to no real push from him to do anything. Still hasn't acknowledged that anti-black racism exists and he only has a 2 years left to do so. Yea right.

Good point, but let's be honest does any President really have full power to implementing their own Foreign policy?

We all know the obstacle that they have to go through to make even the smallest proposals a reality... At least him speaking out more is a start and hopefully he may just be able to eventually influence enough people to push through some positive changes... Time will tell.

:confused::confused::confused:

Is the bar really that low?

:smh:

Of course the President sets policy based on his perspectives.

Damn that video is not working for me for some reason. I wanna know what he said.

He was talking about how people are using religion as an excuse to do evil things. He summed it up by saying "Slavery and Jim Crow was justified all to often in the name of Christ."

Being Outspoken is great, glad to hear it. But considering that he is the president of the US, just maybe he could do something material about it.

No one questions how smart and oratorical gifted the president is, but it sure seems his actions are counter to his speech sometimes.

This shit ain't workin

He equated Christianity's historical religious atrocities with the current environment of Islam's atrocities. Both and every other religious institutions needs to address and condemn these extreme views accordingly. Basically fight hate with love and blah blah blah....

I'm just happy that he called America out on it's historical bullshit and usages of Christianity. These folks here believe their religion is better than Islam because of how the media labels them as a terrorist organization.

Any Presidents first 4 years is merely to get to a second term. The first 2 years of the second term is mid-term elections and presidents spend that trying to win the house and senate.After that its all on the President, no more azz's to cuddle, no more campaigns to run , for 6 years they saw the White side of Barak....now they will witness the Darkside....I promise you it will be the likes as never witnessed before. He already has done more than any other president in history, deported the most illegals, killed the most terrorist, ended the most wars, killed Bin Laden, saved the auto industry,saved America from going into a depression, started National healthcare etc., etc, etc. without any assistance. When he leaves office he will strive to Unite Africa...my only fear is many will come gunning for him before his work is done.

This is my main problem with critics of Obama. Everyone wants him to cure all the ills of the world. He cant do it. He can however, use the platform to get the discussion going on whats wrong. Whether its the budget, racism, violence or education - the only thing he can do is let you (and the rest of the world) he knows what SHOULD be done. The powers that be like things the way they are and things wont change regardless of who is in office.

You say material: Like killing people who have been killing each other for a thousand years... I'd be more inclined to see them keep an eye on these groups and spend the saved money on education and infrastructure.

These crackers want US to forget that it wasn't even a hundred years ago they burned blacks alive, raped young black girls, bombed innocent people, fire bombed peoples houses, hung boys up by their nuts and cut em off in some cases and did it all with their bibles in their hands.

Man these cacs making it hard bruh real hard. :angry::angry::angry::angry:

They think A Time to Kill was all fiction....only the part where the black guy got an ounce of justice.

Yup, typical CAC mentality.

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

you mean like normalizing relations with Cuba ?

you mean like workin with Iran and saying he would veto any new sanctions even though the bill for new sanctions is co-sponsored by a democrat and co-sponsored by 7 other democrats

you mean like fighting by his damn self against Israel

isn't that foreign policy as it relates to this speech
