Obama needs to shut up: President Mugabe is a hero!

What he is trying to do with the industries is a populist stunt and everyone knows it.He is oriented to grabbing rather than building; his concept of economic empowerment is narrowed to the transfer of businesses owned by whites to black. What Zimbabwe needs is the creation of small to medium sized business, which prosper and grow under astute and honest management. The government should focus on creation of wealth instead of transfer of wealth. In conclusion , the government must invest in training black entrepreneurs on how to run a business with emphasis on financial management and marketing of products.

As for Tsvangirai he is not a sellout he is a popular Zimbabwean who represents the aspirations of many Zimbabweans. Mugabe has already sold the country to the Chinese. Better the devil you know

To build these things you speak of takes capital,
Capital can be borrowed or earned.
Zimbabwe as the mineral wealth to earn it without borrowing, but the westrn companies operating in the country are stealing it...

Read this I posted it in another thread:

Finance Minister Tendai Biti has fallen short of calling for the
nationalisation of mines, saying that Zimbabwe's diamonds, gold and
platinum are "benefiting outsiders".

Frustrated by over a year of unsuccessful soliciting for western donor
financial aid to keep Zimbabwe's economy afloat, Biti now says the
country must look within for solutions -and he has set his sights on
the country's billion dollar mining industry.

"Last year, we only got US$44 million from the mining industry yet
they exported over a US$1 billion. This year, they have exported about
US$650 million worth of minerals but we have only gotten US$15
million," Biti told the Senate last week
.

The Finance Minister said at the very least, the system where the
country gets royalties from foreign mining firms needed to be
reviewed.

"Zimbabwe is endowed with serious mining resources, but these are just
benefiting outsiders, the multi-nationals that own these mines," Biti
added. "If you take the Zimbabwe Platinum Mine, the biggest mine in
Zimbabwe, it is owned by Impala, a South African company.

"If you talk about our gold sector, again the major dominant players
are South Africans. We are not benefiting. The mining model we have in
this country where the government just depends on tax and royalties is
not good enough.

"This is why for Chiadzwa we have said only the State should mine
diamonds there. If we continue to give concessions to makoronyera
(dealers), it is a disaster for this country, let us have the State to
mine diamonds."

Biti's toughening stance on the mining industry will concern foreign
investors already fearful of Zimbabwe's new empowerment laws which
will force them to sell off majority shareholding to locals.

Biti revealed in his budget review speech two weeks ago that projected
foreign donor aid had not been forthcoming, and placed diamonds firmly
at the heart of the country's recovery efforts.

Economist Eric Bloch told the Financial Gazette last week: "Diamond
mining must be done by the private sector with proper controls in line
with KP (Kimberley Process) requirements.

"Governments are not capable of running businesses. Look at
parastatals the world over, including Zimbabwe. The private sector is
the one which has the skills."

This shit is worse that Tsvangari getting a beating.....much worse!!!

WAIT, this dude be talking all this African shit and he live in the US?...:lol::lol::lol::lol: You gotta be kidding me.

What about all the indians and chinese and puerto ricans and mexicans who always fly their flag and have a passion for their country? just because they live in the US they all of a suddenly stop being "chinese" or "mexican"? Right now some guy from the Ukraine has his flag hanging from his property across the street. The United States is a land of economic opportunity and a land of immigrants. Immigrants who will almost always have patriotism for their original country. What is Nzinga suppose to do.. talk about paris hilton or what quarterback some nfl team acquired? :puke:

Nzinga and other Africans will exploit whatever economic opportunities the West has to offer just like all other immigrants. This in no way stops one from being patriotic to his original country.

So you've come to the conclusion that the ends justify the means...

Sorry not to me.

Id rather he go all out, proclaim himself dictator until death, and do what he wants to do, rather then have some fake-ass elections where he violently oppresses and breaks his nation apart every couple of years.

I've come to the conclusion that there is no alternative at the moment!!!
He is doing what he wants....so what's you're problem?
He doesn't want to be there till death, I broached that topic in an earlier post.
The economic break down was externally engineered!!!!!

This is not about Zimbabwe vs the West. It is about Mugabe vs the will of the people. By the way the guy you are qouting called Tendai Biti is Tsvangirai's second in charge in the party and also minister of finance under the government of national unity:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Did l mention that Tsvangirai appointed Biti to the position of minister of finance ? This totally debunks your claim that Tsvangirai and his followers are sellouts for the West. Do not discuss African politics is you don't really understand it ha ha ha

They were funded by the west, what are you talking about??
....They were not making these claims until they had to compromise and work with Mugabe, when it became clear that he wasn't going any where?
BEfore that, we didn't here a peep from them about the piss these companies were taking.

It's always been abut Zimbabwe and the west, becuase those that benefited under colonialism and aparteid are from the the West.
Had they not been there, there would have been no need for Mugabe to lead you out of your direct oppression.

And that's your retort to reading that article.....????

They are not funded by the West. They are funded by a network of black South African and Zimbabwean businessman. I will name the three most prominent names :

1. Cyril Ramaphosa (South African and ally to President Jacob Zuma)

2. Tokyo Sexwale ( South African and ally to President Jacob Zuma)

3. Strive Masiyiwa ( Zimbabwe's richest businessman and telecommunications magnet)

You clearly don't understand Zimbabwean politics so don't talk as if you are an authoritative figure on this subject

Did you undertake an audit trail for this??

I understand a lot more than you think my friend.
And you telling what I should or shouldn't speak about sounds like the behaviour of the man you condemn.....
So why are you so upset with him???

The same can be said about you asserting that he is being funded by the West. I will actually ask you did you undertake an audit trail to prove that the money is coming from the West ?

So what we have is a difference of opinion on that paticular matter...
That being said, I'm therefore speaking with as much authority as you on the matter.

We obviously are not gonna agree.
So I will conclude....Mugabe has fucked on many on tactics, but his mission in an honerable one, I just think it's a shame that your country hasn't got an alternative leader to carry the tourch with the mindset of a politician as opposed to a Soldier which is, probably Mugabe's major fault!!!

I expect to be back in your country next April, so I'll be able to re-assess the situation then!!

You are just regurgitating what you hear on Fox, which do not apply to the conditions in Africa necessarily. The problems that the third world countries have is that large multinationals are exploiting them and stealing their natural resources. By insisting in 51% of local ownership, he is trying keep 51% of the money in his country. The Chinese have similar laws in many sectors of their economy....

The only thing you need to know about Morgan Tsivangirai is that Toney Blair told the English parliament that he worked for him...We know who our villains are... It is surprising that people who had nothing to do with our freedom struggle now want to tell us how to run our affairs.

What about all the indians and chinese and puerto ricans and mexicans who always fly their flag and have a passion for their country? just because they live in the US they all of a suddenly stop being "chinese" or "mexican"? How many Westerners are in Africa. This topic is centered on cacs who want to continue stealing billions of precious minerals from our countries and you are sweating me for working for a white man...

This was an interesting thread.

EDIT: I'll simply add this. You can't make an omelet without cracking an egg. Do you think the time between America's independence and where America is now was a smooth transition?

Don't even get me started on Britain's Industrial 'Revolution' in which poor kids and their family were working in workhouses.

I don't agree with everything Mugabe has done but let's not forget Zimbabwe has only been independent for a short while. You can't even compare what he's done to the centuries of Atrocities that America and Britain have done on their own people and others.

Fuck outta here.

Robert Mugabe:

Fought for freedom from white men starting before Obama was conceived. He was interned in white man's jail for 10-years, where he was tortured, and some say, castrated (though he now has children). He came out of jail, went across the river to Zambia to intensify the freedom struggle. When he fell out with Kaunda (courtesy of a scheme hatched by white people to divide the freedom front), he moved to Mozambique where he was leader of Zanu and its military wing. In the 1978, Joshua Nkomo, leader of ZAPU, the other major liberation movement in Zimbabwe directed his guerillas to bring down any plane that flew in fascist Rhodesia. To this end, a plane full of cacs, many said to be members of its miliary, was brought down with missiles fired from Zambia.

Cacs claim that guerillas on the ground then moved in and finished off any cac survivors. Whiteness was stunned because it was evident that the war had moved to a more serious phase. Though the retaliated by dropping Napalm bombs on refugee camps in Zambia (Chikumbi massacre), the writing was on the wall. The next year, they agreed to hold talks in London with the real leaders of the Africans, Mugabe and Nkomo.

The talks were held at Lancaster House and chaired by Lord Carrington, assisted with the American Chester Crocker. From the outset, it was evident that Crocker and Carrington were far from neutral referees. The pushed and represented the interests of white minority.

For all the talk that white people like to make, about democracy, Crocker and Carrington instituted clauses in the Zmbabwe constitution that guaranteed white who were 3% of the population 20% of the seats and a veto over legislation for 10 years....

The whole thing almost broke over land, until England and America agreed that they would pay cacs for land recovered from them by the government of Zimbabwe,,

Fine. How has Zimbabwe fared since he took over?

Nevermind. That's the fault of the White colonial powers.

EXACTLY!!!....They said exactly what I've been saying THANK YOU!!
You did you name proud!!

That's why black people are never gonna get shit, until they stop falling for the Okey-dokey....

Do you know that not one White nation, not one, has ever been forged without the massacre of thousands if not millions of people, the annihilation of languages and the supression of cultures, within their own boarders, until a common identity was forced out of the remaining peoples....this all took hundreds of years....
There's not a black African country that is more than 60 years old...Some of you have parents older than the countries, some of you may even be older than these countries. So yes, in these enlightened times, we may find the suppression of decenting voices objectionable, and rightly so, but none the less the task we as Africans is a much greater one , because we have to do everything the white nations did, with as little violence as possible, while other more powerful countries try and prevent us from doing it so as to keep their hands in our cookie jar, while we starve...
So Mugabe may not be a Nobel prize winner, but he just wants what Europe, America and the West have and that's a united nation in control of it's destiny as much as that is ever possible........
So FUCK what you heard about Mugabe, those other African leaders need to step up to the plate too. If we had fifty leaders like him now......we'd be the richest continent in the world..

The irony is...All the heroes in the West are war heroes, they killed for their nations, but all our heroes are supposed to be like Nelson Mandella:rolleyes:

I saw your post with that info , but if you can answer - why is the motherland not advancing? and just be honest, its not rocket science here. Both sides share blame, but the bulk is in the leadership! If you cannot raise up and get that GDP poppin, then you are not going anywhere, anytime soon. So refrain from fantasy/utopia type shit, this shit down there is real, Zimbabwe is not coming back anytime soon and we both know that why????? If you cannot reserve a chair at the big table you will just continue to get that AID and get pimped and dwindle away into obscicurity! So dont blast Obama, he is just shedding some light, get your GDP up and watch things materialize! Everything else is irrelevant, let us just be honest, Mugabe is just trying to latch onto power and using the stunts he pulled as leverage (feasible enough knowing how the public is gullible), in the mean time they whole place is in shambles. We all know this game! That article on Obama ended with him advocating for ninjas to bring up their GDP, was not no chest thumping, anti colonialist b.s, we all know the history!!! We can reserve another thread for them cac's, in this thread here Mugabe is fumblin, has fumbled and taken his people behind by decades if not centuries! And I am not downplaying what he did, he had some guts but looking at the bigger picture and what that article is about. LET US CALL A SPADE A SPADE!

And your up in his thread snitching on him...what's the difference??

Any comments on the topic in hand?

gtfoh talking bout i'm snitching on him. you don't even know what snitching means judging by your logic.

on the topic at hand mugabe is no hero.
neither is the american government
or any government in the world for that matter.
if you dig deep enough there is always blood on the hands that are in a position of power or the hands of the people who setup the system that the country is ruled by period

Tendai Biti is the one wearing glasses he seated next to Tsvangirai at a function for their political party :D:D:D:D:D

It is not about President Mugabe v The people, because the people voted for President Mugabe...

Tendai Biti may say righteous things, keep in mind that Biti is nothing but a government official, and were he to utter reactionary policies, Mugabe and the other conscious Africans would not let him. Furthermore, a policy such as the one declaring that all businesses must 51% locally owned, emanated from and with the endorsement Mugabe. Tendai merely articulated it in his capacity as the minister responsible for that portfolio..

You can argue all you want, but Tony Blair declared the Tsivangirai worked for him.. Chester Crocker and his Zimbabwe Democratic Trust funded MDC...

that i can agree with
if a cac says anything about any black person who he appointed or can be tied directly to him under the bus they go...even when the cac's are wrong.
shit is just downright grimey and speaks volumes to me

If the people voted for him why did he delay the presidential election results by over a month when all other election results have already been released 24 hours after the polls had closed?

If the people voted for him why did he have the army and intelligence unit kill 300 people in the run up to the run off election of June 2008 ?

If the people voted for him why did the AU,SADC and pan African parliament not recognize the June run off election as the will of the people of Zimbabwe ?

If the people voted for him why was he arm twisted by African leaders [Mbeki in particular] into entering a power sharing deal with Tsvangirai ?

The first presidential election in March 2008 had Morgan Tsvangirai leading even by the official tallies. He beat Mugabe but didn't get the 50+1 so a run off was ordered in which Mugabe beat and killed people so that they could either not vote for the MDC or just stay at home during the run off election.

This is absolutely wrong. Since 1960, probably 200 men have run African countries, and every single one of them has been met by the same fate. The bottom line is this, our fate is an engineered one, by powerful invisible hands that want to keep us exactly where we are so that they can manipulate and exploit us. What is of our own making, is the refusal or failure to unite. Without this unity, we are divided, weak, and being individually conquered, by the Chinese now, and the Euro/Americans ever since....It is for this reason that the arguments by Gaddafi, for an African super state, not only are of the most urgent importance, but are critical to our survival...The ecomic fortunes of a small country are made and destroyed in Europe.
