"Obama is White inside." - Morrissey.

hyperbole isn't truth...

truth can be backed up by fact.

what can be done as opposed to what isn't done

pretending that president is all powerful and can do something he can't is meant only to inflame

and for a crakka to presume there is no understanding on what black people feel.....well damn y'all had a 10 page thread about a white woman pretending to be black and wanted her shot....but now its okay cause you want to agree ?

i would think he feels more anguish because there isn't more he can do...

I never saw any of those good for racial harmony ever speak to a black child killed by police..

Damn sure didn't say a word when a whole philly block was fire bombed..

sure didn't say anything when a black child was chased into traffic by a white mob.

maybe it was in their heart though

I think you are misunderstanding the situation brother and you are wrong on this one. First of all let's not kid ourselves here every one of those looters and vandals could have EASILY been put down/stopped and killed by the police and military force at the US government's disposal and everybody knows it. I don't think you'd disagree? Knowing that why weren't more lethal or even simply more aggressive tactical methods deployed to intervene when the police have full knowledge of their own capability to suppress such a relatively small unarmed untrained civilian force?

If they were just vandalizing w/o cause no right minded person would even rally in their defense if the police had done them bodily harm in an attempt to restore order. So what happened and where did these people even come from - they didn't just appear out of thin air? They have been walking the streets intermingling with the civil body but yet riots don't break out every day, or every week, or every month,or even every year. Are they some sleeper terrorist cell that get activated by a special twitter hashtag? If no, then what has been keeping this shit in check?

See the black community unleashed these kids and anarchist. WE WERE RESPONSIBLE. The fomenting anger that spreads like a synaptical nerve impulse through the black conscientiousness in our speech and rhetoric amongst ourselves in our restaurants and dinner tables, community centers and churches, and in our barbershops and internet forums. We ginned these people up and w/o saying it directly, they shot out like a reflexive memory and lashed against the system. You're caught up in some bullshit lost property that only has the value you attach to it because some white person dictated to you it's value. They were flipping police cars and bucking the racist institutional gang that is
the police force. They HAVE to know we aren't pussy and WILL defend ourselves if we need to. When you send raiders out against an enemy force that has already shown itself to be devoid of empathy and full or ruthlessness you don't cry for your enemy if the raiders keep spoils. There is so much more going on here with a much higher priority value than the minor property you're focusing on.

(Our current financial system is the most insidious slave system ever devised and we're all going to have to escape it someday, but that's a discussion for another time)

All I have to say is people who don't vote in local elections and allow racist local authorities - mayors, police chiefs, judges - to continuously get elected have a lot of nerve condemning the President for not being able to clean up the messes they make.

We should not accept having to be attacked by this clown where he speaks. Our problems stem from deliberate actions by other racial groups trying to undermine, mass incarceration, poor civil rights policies pushing for integration. This type of speech is racist, he would never give this speech at a mostly white gathering.

“Too many fathers are M.I.A, too many fathers are AWOL, missing from too many lives and too many homes,” Mr. Obama said, to a chorus of approving murmurs from the audience. “They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it.”

The speech was striking for its setting, and in how Mr. Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, directly addressed one of the most sensitive topics in the African-American community: whether absent fathers bore responsibility for some of the intractable problems afflicting black Americans. Mr. Obama noted that “more than half of all black children live in single-parent households,” a number that he said had doubled since his own childhood.

Accompanied by his wife, Michelle, and his daughters, Malia and Sasha, who sat in the front pew, Mr. Obama laid out his case in stark terms that would be difficult for a white candidate to make, telling the mostly black audience not to “just sit in the house watching SportsCenter,” and to stop praising themselves for mediocre accomplishments.

“Don’t get carried away with that eighth-grade graduation,” he said, bringing many members of the congregation to their feet, applauding. “You’re supposed to graduate from eighth grade.”

His themes have been also been sounded by the comedian Bill Cosby, who has stirred debate among black Americans by bluntly speaking about an epidemic of fatherless African-American families while suggesting that some blacks use racism as a crutch to explain lack of economic progress...."

“But we also need families to raise our children,” he said. “We need fathers to realize that responsibility doesn’t just end at conception. That doesn’t just make you a father. What makes you a man is not the ability to have a child. Any fool can have a child. That doesn’t make you a father. It’s the courage to raise a child that makes you a father.”

@cointelpro: "agreed"

They should have ran him off, we can wait another 200 years for another opportunity from the right person. No need to accept this public humiliation and reinforcement of negative stereotypes.

I had to check myself. I had actually started thinking like that for a second.

What he said is true, but it's not all of the story, or hell even the origin of the story. I never got down with him with that speech, but I also didn't get too up in arms about it.

The fatherlessness problem in our communities is largely the result of racist polices, a fact he didn't mention and should have. But at the same time, I know too many trifling brothers not really raising their kids and I see the lack of a future that leads to. If fathers instill in their sons a sense of self respect and purpose, the sons will do amazing things. We take the rearing of kids and parenting far too cavalierly in this country and even more so in our community. We need to hold up the many examples of black fathers doing it right. Those brothers deserve acknowledgement. These are complicated problems that won't be solved just because someone in the white house "calls out" someone. It's going to take a lot of hard work and determination on all sides.

We need to realize there is a difference between a civil rights activist and a politician.

I am not misunderstanding and don't agree and the reason is very clear.

Agent provocateurs have always been used to disrupt movements in our community.

And IMO that is exactly what the looters were be they knowing or unknowingly acting as such. And that is exactly what those stealing alcohol and shoes were..pawns

And the plan was exactly what occurred and that was to change the focus on why 10k people were in the streets.

I have no issue at all with flipping police cars...I don't have an issue with meeting force with force..

If you want to burn, then burn that police station, city hall, the newspaper and media that acts as a PR arm of oppression. I am all for that.

Burn the banks..

Nobody directed these people in their action we merely gave them free reign and being economically depressed they looted in the process of revolting. Don't forget there were are large representation of ethnicities including caucasion faces in those stores stealing shit.

Burn the police station... come on now talk about hyperbole. If you want to see a REAL military response then go ahead and do something like that without being a truly organized and trained force. They will wipe every ghetto in America off the face of the earth to get at anyone who would have been involved in such a direct challenge to authority.

In the interest of keeping the discussion within the realm of reality I must say that some of the places you mentioned attacking just aren't realistic or even intelligent selections of places to target. Soft targets not the most hardened ones.

I am only speaking on the causes of the rioting. If the civil body of the black community had a real representation and did not feel disenfranchised by the government then people would have been turning these folks in to their local police instead of stepping aside and letting them run rampant. The enemy of my enemy.

Happy Sunday!!!

Why couldn't we do that these two terms ?

People fail to realize that each group you speak of organized and financed a lobby and that lobby was front and center.

Where was the black folks organized and financed lobby and what was the specific end results that lobby wanted ?

It didn't exist so when Obama made moves in his opinion that would benefit black america it wasn't enough.

Some of you fail to realize that in the 50's 60's and 70's there was a clearly defined agenda. There was a common goal and it didn't matter if you were a doctor lawyer or garbage man.

Now there are reactions to different incidents. No pro-action.No sustained organization or movement. Trayvon Martin has been relegated to happy birthday wishes on facebook. Eric garner hasn't been mentioned since no indictment.

Where is the movement making mass incarceration an election issues for mayors judges and DA's

Where are the movements shutting down construction sites that don't hire black folks

Why hasn't there been a march on washington....not the planned marches that seek to avoid causing issues done with permission but the type that shut it down.

everybody knows that malcolm was going to the UN before his murder but why hasn't anyone else done it in the last 50 years ?

to fukkn easy to stand on BGOL soapboxes and sling around coon and dickrider and all that blah blah blah bullshit from the safety of your keyboard.

You want to talk shit about the fags and the mexicans but they organized...

you so worried about mofokrs that want to pretend to be black but they are the ones that stole tactics and use them successfully while we sit back doing nothing.

we scream do for self but Umar can't get 5 million to start a school

we scream do for self but always want to question the quality or prices of the black business while rejoicing in paying what ever the crakka or indian charges.....

stop thinking that is it sufficient to say its racism and white supremacy while failing to recognize the apathy settling for that causes

cats won't take a shorty under their wing because they ain't giving shit for some other niggas seed.

mofokrs so caught up in materialism they have become morally and culturally corrupt.

and the soft targets are where they live....they are soft because the police sit back and allow it..

did you see Ferguson ? police stayed back long as they burned their corner store and they had their police station and the border going into white areas on lock.

Burning the WalGreens was not revolt and it never should have been allowed into the neighborhood since it hurt the business of the black drug store down the street..The one the media never mentioned when saying now the people won't have a drug store.

like a said no proaction always reaction...and now you don't hear about ferguson, South Charelston or Baltimore.....the revolt is over until its time to react to something else

the difference between a moment and a movement is sacrifice.

but the negro you described is not THIS negro and while all that is well and good every one of us has to go out each and every day and try to survive by whatever means at our disposal.

Being LBGT or being Mexican, or a woman... none of that shit has any bearing on what is going on with the BLACK community and it's relationship with is government. Hell mexican isn't even an ethnicity if you want to be real about it. They have a banner, a flag to rally under. Even attempt to do that by blacks is undermined by authority. LBGT is not an ethnicity hell it's most white people who are the ones in charge anyway (look at the congressmen and business leaders who get outed with disturbing regularity). Of course they can get their agenda's across. They have money and the power of position and only need time to make their head ways. Our positions are not equitable.

I'm firm in my stance on absentee fathers no doubt, but I also had to remember that the problems facing us are much more complicated than "pull your pants up" "be a man" "get a good education/job" and a lot of policies were put into place to facilitate the conditions we currently face. Knowing that Obama spent a lot of time with Minister Farrakhan before he got in office, he's well aware of this as well.

I want to pose a question. It's two pronged.
Where and who would Obama be w/o his white grandparents?

I'm sick of this shit. What the fuck business does this cac have with this. These cacs want Obama to go radical so that the next 50 cac presidents can go ultra pro white then turn around with the oh it was ok for Obama to be pro black but when a white does it it's racist. This cracka has a hidden agenda.

C/S. The problem is racism/white supremacy!

You missing the point...They have stolen our blueprint for activism that we used into the 70's .

We have adopted an individual material outlook and wonder why none of our issues are addressed.

We were the activists but no more. Now we are soft and afraid and wondering why we don't get because it's our turn.

We as you say are trying to survive so we aren't taking risks we are just hoping we are okay.

And we say well every time we try they stop us like that makes it okay to stop trying.

If its not worth the fight it isn't worth having...If surviving is good enough then don't complain of not getting more.

Brother Woodfox was just released after 40 years and he never stopped fighting and never gave in simply to survive.

He is a Jesse Peterson in sheeps clothing, look at the similarities by watching both videos. He thinks like Jesse Peterson but hides it until it comes out once in awhile.

I think he adapted to get elected in a blue state.

I would not make excuses for opportunistic mofokrs...problem today is mofokrs are to think skinned...

my problem wasn't with his calling them thugs

my problem was the media who ignored 10k peaceful protestors for a week and as soon as some vandals went shopping then its news.

fuck stealing liquor and shoes and calling it anger..

you angry firebomb the police department, set fire to city hall...go after what you angry about.

them mofokrs wasn't about nothing but a comeup.

and i won't give them credit for anything nor make excuses for them..misguided my ass

That shit is true as fuck. Media led these enabling fucking idiots right into some defensive shit and the enablers fell for it. Defending the same dumb fucks who are now tearing up the neighborhood since the police retreated. Enabling idiots now looking like certified clowns to everyone in the world. :smh:

Obama shouldn't take any heat for going at the FEW idiots that fucked shit up every fucking time. Whether it's a protest or day-to-day life, they making shit hell for the other 99 percent in the community and don't need to be called 'misguided' any more than those CAC bikers that fucked up in Texas(which just shows there is a certain amount of idiots among every group who will always fuck shit up).

Where Obama should be criticized is not even making this an issue during a State of the Union years ago. He should have always been putting the prison industrial complex and police brutality on blast all the damn time. It's that simple. At least make it a talking point. It worked wonders when Bush did it for steroids in baseball. It worked wonders when Bush did it to push wars.

At the end of the day,

It's...MORRISSEY!!!

All the former members of The Smiths can't stand him
As does most of England.

Dude goes off about EVERY FUCKIN' THING!!!
