NFL outs whistleblower in bounty case

Jimmy Kennedy insists he isn't the whistleblower who sent the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal investigation into motion.

The NFL says otherwise, but Kennedy has taken to Twitter to deny the allegations.

In a memorandum issued by the league to all teams Tuesday, the NFL identified Kennedy, a Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman from 2008-10, as the person who originally told former Vikings coach Brad Childress that the Saints had a $10,000 bounty on quarterback Brett Favre in the NFC Championship Game after the 2009 season.

The NFL went on to say that Kennedy identified former Saints defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove as his source. This isn't the first time Kennedy and Hargrove have been linked.

Try to follow along because now it gets a bit confusing:

In May, Hargrove issued to the NFL a declaration of his side of the bounty story. In it, Hargrove said he was called into a meeting with former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and assistant coach Joe Vitt.

Hargrove said Williams told him "some people thought that I had told Vikings player Jimmy Kennedy about the existence of a 'bounty' on Brett Favre because I am friends with Jimmy from our playing days at St. Louis."

Kennedy took to Twitter back in May, denying anybody told him anything about a bounty on Favre.

Now the league says it interviewed Kennedy and Childress, coming to the conclusion that it was Kennedy who told Childress of the bounty.

Dude, there's no edvidence linking Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis to particpating in any bounty program. Even the edvidence presented so far doesn't mention either of them.

Payton and Loomis are suspended for lying and covering it up. But where's the proof of this cover up linking them to it???

Dude where's this proof that you like everyone else been mentioning that the NFL got on Saints? If there was any real proof then Vilma would not have a lawsuit on Goodell.

Goodell found out about the Saints pay for performance program and dress up to look like a bounty program. Why??? To fight off that billion pound gorilla class action lawsuit filed by 3500 former NFL player's regarding playing with concussion. Goodell claiming the player's injuries are the results of underground program like this. Goodell is claiming that the NFL is cleaning all of that stuff up. There's your proof!!
