New "The Godfather" Spin-Off Series "The Offer" Chronicles The Making Of The Iconic Film Update: Out NOW!

I enjoyed "The Offer" a lot. Was hoping they would follow it up with the making of the second Godfather film

I'm almost done

I don't like the "big liberties" taken but it's entertaining

I don't know if a NON godfather fan would appreciate this though

The scene is mostly known for its fluffs, but the fight was so authentic that Caan actually broke Russo’s ribs while fighting him. The scene reportedly took four days to shoot and featured more than 700 extras. Using the trashcan lid to beat up Russo was improvised by James Caan.

Is this shit any good?

Dont even know how I missed this thread

It's tough to say. It ain't for everyone

If you a godfather FAN? You gonna love it.

If you a godfather expert? You gonna hate it (I added links and reactions from the REAL PEOPLE)

It was good kinda soap opera version of the making of a classic. I don't binge often but this was easy to get through. Again, I KNEW it wasn't going to be historically accurate and take a LOT of liberties so I went in prepared.

Sidebar... The dude who plays Bob Evans needs to be cast in the biopic he would win an Oscar. Everyone else is okay and tries hard.

Worth the watch.

If you like films/TV shows that show how movies are made, the background deals and story within a story, then you'll like it. Like @playahaitian mentioned, they took some liberties, but I found it very entertaining. I came into it knowing some of the story of how "The Godfather" was made, but it was cool to see things fleshed out and I even learned a few things along the way.

If you liked the Godfather, you'll like this.

Just the first movie. It goes into how Paramount didn't really want to invest in it, how they secured the rights, the battle in casting Brando, the pushback from Joe Colombo and the Mafia in NYC in how Italians were going to be portrayed, studio meddling etc...

In addition to Evans, the actors that played Brando and Al Pacino disappeared in those roles.

Now I can understand why this kinda fell under radar
