I recently hired Neighborhood Assassins to protect my house from terrorists

Flies, ants, grasshoppers, mosquitoes and other pests beware...Nature's Assassin is on the loose!

I bought 5 praying mantis eggs this spring to let loose in my yard to keep the pests down when they hatched. This morning...they hatched. Now, praying mantises will eat all the bugs in my yard. Who needs pesticides when nature has it's own pest remover.

What is a deleteto?

Right now they are out of mantis eggs, but I ordered some last year and this year from them. Last year I put the eggs in a fish bowl on my deck and a raccoon made off with them before they could hatch. This year I got smart and put them in different places scattered around my yard (one in my windowsill in the backyard, another on a bush in my front yard, one from a big tree behind my house, one in a sapling on the side of my yard, and 1 in a park near my house.

I used to have them as kids and they ate everything from ants, to grasshoppers and mosquitoes. Planet Natural is the best I have seen, offering 5 eggs for $15 or so when other sites offer just one for $13.00

So what do you do when you're overrun with praying mantises?

That is the beauty of praying mantises. When there is nothing else to eat...they take out their competition...OTHER MANTISES. But there are more than enough pests to go around (have you ever seen a summer without mosquitoes?)

But you will probably have to wait until next year. Praying mantis eggs hatch in May and June, so last fall's eggs have hatched already. I'll drop info next March or April when I get mine
