I'm from that Chi-City and this was our shit in the late 80's and early 90's this shit still jams. I listen to this at least once a month if not more. So many great memories to this song.

i was a huge fan of the Native Tongues (ATCQ, De La, Latifah, etc),, however, i could never seem to vibe with the Jungle Brothers, or this song,, respect to the Bros tho

It was the ENERGY and its was organic to the street to the club and to that vibe and time in young Black culture. We danced drank smoked and had fun...

yeah we weren't perfect but the music gave us a moment and series of moments of fun independence creativity and peace.

THIS was JUST as influential musically and CULTURALLY to the growth and development of hip hop as anything Rakim did.

We need to REMEMBER these songs and these artists and give them their DUE...FOREVER.

Hip hop birthed so many genres of music and INFLUENCED so many more...

JBs and Native Tongues as a whole STILL don't get enough credit...

we need a strong sister or brother to do a documentary on THAT...
