Had these in ny for a few yrs now

Funny thing I believe nyers complained that cash is king and now I believe they take cash in some of ny stores
The new thing is some Whole Foods or Amazon stores, you can't even enter without scanning with your Amazon app. So anyone trying to pull a NY "fast one" with some funny bills or something, they still gonna know who you are because of entry with the app.

Who know, hustlers will always hustle... Sheisters will always sheist lol

I wonder if McDonald's will change up if customers stop giving them business because of automation.

People are fools and sheep. Remember when the NFL owners locked out the NFL players and the fans...catch this...BLAMED THE NFL PLAYERS.

People support billionaires instead of the people. They don't care. They will keep on supporting McDonald's regardless if they have actual human staff or not. I haven't eaten there in almost a decade (except for one time I was a passenger in a car who's driver said, "eat this or don't. But we ain't stopping til Cleveland. ")

Funny thing Costco got the best concept and makes a killing off it.. the no access without membership card or gift card or if you work for instacart.. $60-$120 yearly membership card.. they make a bulk of their money off that.. so if Amazon or Whole Foods really wanted it to be exclusive send all members cards, so that customers have to show at the door and scan at the checkout line

Love Costco. Costco KING lol
Not sure how Whole Foods treats their employees, but every employee I’ve ever talked to that works at Costco loves working there. The one in DC has been open for about 10 years now and alot of the same folks who started there are still working there.

Costco gets almost 100 percent of my gas business. Even when I travel out of state I go from Costco to Costco along the way.

I actually posted the investigation documentary about the ice cream machine ordeal.. apparently McDonald’s is making side money with the manufacture of those purposely faulty machines.. you can only order those machines if you own a McDonald’s and you can’t try to fix it yourself or hire an outside party to fix it..you have to ask the manufacturer to come to fix it for a high ass fee.. someway McDonald’s gets a cut of that or gets a cut of the money buying the machine.. it was an interesting story to say the least on how companies work together secretly fucking people over

Im saying this was never about sustainability or paying youth adult wages. It was always about corporate greed and maximizing profits. These workers have historically been underpaid and overworked and once public trends began to move toward so-called fair wages the corporations planned and pivoted to automation.
I remember when jobs at McDonalds were mostly held by teenagers making a lil extra loot..... their first real jobs..... not grown ass people trying to make a "living wage" off of flipping burgers..... that's what you went to college for.... or some vocational/training school that prepared you for other jobs.... no one I knew was trying to make a living offa McDonalds, unless they were trying to get experience and advance in food services...management, etc.... it was always a steppingstone to another job.....somewhere where you learned responsibilities not somewhere to work and raise kids... :smh:

Yeah. From what I've heard, they could actually build the machines with better parts/tech that would keep them from breaking down. But if they did that, it would cut into the profit margin of the production company (that makes a significant profit being the sole service provider and having X runs of that a year).

Times change, people change, and situations change.

I don't think a ton of people are dying to make a lifelong career out of fast food work even now. But at the same time, the notion that some jobs are basically "starter jobs" is a mentality that has allowed corporate interests to shaft employees of their rights and proper wages based on some convoluted notion that "if you really wanted to be successful, you wouldn't keep working here."

Watch old footage from the 1950s and 60s. Fast food places like McDonald's and places that had carhops were staffed by adults not teens.

That concept never made sense being that teenagers are in school.. usually between 8am-3pm.. they got to go to school so that means they even leave earlier to get there and coming from school takes time.. so in reality 7am-4pm most of their employees wouldn’t be able to work if they relied on teenagers..than you have kids that have homework and also they need to go to sleep.. what teenager would work the night shift after 12am at some of these 24 hrs or open late McDonald’s? The reality it was never really a teenager job cause due to the hours am shift, late night shift, evening shift their employees wouldn’t be able to work.. so they would need older people to cover certain shifts.. someone created that lie about it being a teenage job or young person to get away with paying them low money since for some reason people think it’s cool to under pay young people.. if I down the job than I could pay my employees less and act like their insignificant even though the company is a multi billion dollar a yr corporation.. sounds like a great agenda to push for big bizz

You saw the end of the automated Texas vid above? No meat or anything but a bun and onions.
your point is well taken, but to be fair, if you look at the receipt on the burger he actually ordered a cheeseburger with no cheese, no mustard, no ketchup, no salt, no pickles, no MEAT and extra onions.
