Mayor Of Kingstown! Who Watched it?

I’m halfway thru season 3.

Was it ever explained why Mitch drove a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Sedan and Mike driving a Lincoln Town Car Sedan?

Both those models are technically classified as “Limousine's”, they aren’t cars people normally drive as everyday cars.

Mitch McLusky drives a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
because it represents his status and power as the "Mayor of Kingstown". While the show doesn't explicitly state why he drives that specific car, its large, classic, and authoritative presence aligns with his role as a powerful, unofficial mediator who deals with criminals, politicians, and police. It also serves as a visual cue to his authority in a town where he's a major player, much like a modern-day king.

Mike drives the Lincoln Town Car because it was his brother Mitch's car, and it symbolizes Mike taking over his brother's role as "Mayor" of the town. The car is also depicted as being reliable and nearly indestructible, which fits Mike's character and his job of navigating the criminal and law enforcement worlds.

Season 3
10 Episodes

6/10

I started the 3rd season at home earlier this week. I wanted to save it until season 4 debuted that way I can roll right into it. I finished it up this afternoon on Paramount+.

The season picks up immediately after the events of season 2 with Mike’s mother getting shot.

A new Russian Mob Boss arrives after Milo was taken out. A new Aryan Brotherhood Boss returns to Kingstown who has a past connection with Mike. An all out war breaks out between the Crips and Aryans spearheaded with Bunny getting his hands on military hardware.

Milo returns from the boat explosion, I did not expect that. Was not expecting Warden Kareem to go out like that. Kyle taking out Robert, another situation that caught me off guard. And Iris, with all the shit she has gone through, I definitely thought she would make it too the final season.

A number of plots were closed out and a number of new plots kicked in to set it up for season 4. I expect when season 5 is approved, it should be the final season allowing the series to end on top.

Gonna watch season 4 after all the episodes debut in December. Looking forward to it.

I agree, it makes the story compelling and interesting because I always be looking forward to what happens next. This show is that damn good!.

I really really thought it was unnecessary.

But now seeing how a supposedly "minor" character actually held so much weight?

Well done.

But I dint like how they portraying Mike brother in jail. No matter what happened NOBODY is treating a cop let alone a "protected" one like that.

And the drug angle doesn't seem real to me. I see they stacked the deck to make it plausible but it still feels forced. He aint taking no cigarettes or pills from THAT GUY. No matter how much he is hurting.

But I understand showing the audience how REAL prison is and that it will and can break ANYONE under the right circumstances

I believe they show you what really goes down in them jails even though its fiction but a lesson can be learned here in this scene.

Also showing how prisoner deal with PTSD as well because it isn't a joke and how stressful it is for these guards to try to control the situation dealing with the most dangerous criminals.

Also, while the character itself hasn't gotten as much screen time but the scene itself was powerful in it's own right.

I like how mayor of kingstown is explicit not cutting out parts like most shows do.

I do agree they were being extra with giving Jremy charcater brother pills and cigs in jail. But I guess they had to use that as a filler.

Don't like how this new warden is so unafraid of Mike...

no matter who she down with

She KNOWS who the mayor is.

She would be much more careful openly messing with his brother.

She's got a boss that scares her more than the mayor. That's why she had that illegal gun, and freaked out when the cops took it

^^^ I get that. Especially after watching this week. That to me is what is frustrating but after watching this episode I am more accepting of where we are.

Your right she is terrified whoever the "big boss" is. But that is crazy way to write this season. Watching EVERYTHING crash down and the impending doom of something WORSE?

I would be disappointed if it was JUST the cartel though.

This show is getting interesting, kyle talking to that fool in jail not knowing who he dealing with and smoking cigs and taking that pill complaining about chest pains even though he was lying saying he wasn't talking to callahan. Good thing he got moved because the mayor doesn't play about his brother and that new warden got her wake up call.

Bunny gonna be on a mission to get the gang together to kill this non English guy responsible for burning up his shipments.

Ian is such a dummy to finishing shoot that witness after he got shot in the neck to dump his body in the river which could be discovered later even though they took the bullets out of the body to prevent from getting tracked.

I hope kyle's wife got to ohio safety.

Show is so much better since they killed off Iris... Hated her storyline...

Didn't realize that was Morgan/Walking Dead at first...
So used to him fighting walkers with that damn stick.... Lol
I found Iris story interesting but annoying at the same damn time. lol
