Similar to R. Kelly, these musicians make more money than they know what to do with. They make so much they rely or trust other folks to handle their money. Which is understandable as they are constantly working and may not have the time to keep track and number crunch their expenses. All they want to know is can they afford the things they want.
Hell, many get caught up with purchases of multimillion dollar homes they can’t keep up after several years.

Have to pay one's taxes to ensure No More Drama. All That I Can Say is that the IRS doesn't play 25/8. Love is All We Need is the motto I live by, but my family's done me wrong over time. It became a Family Affair here in Canada with the CRA, aka - Canada Revenue Agency. I got everything paid off though and thankfully there are no more Rainy Dayz. It was definitely a rough stretch though when I was in the Thick of It. Just thought I'd Share My World and my $0.02.

Let's be clear, there are several steps and options involved before you get to the point of going to jail.
In Wesley's case, he made the mistake of trying to hide out by doing an extended shoot out of country. Only to come back and tell the IRS why he didn't owe the money. He refused to pay and he showed his ass in court. I don't know if they confiscated any of his possessions to help cover the debt.
