Interesting episode and the most accessible so far, two "monsters" falling love. I got a hunch this show might be on some "Jacob's Ladder" shit with the war as backdrop but we'll see. Hippolyta finely gets her turn next week since she has the orrery.

its a sci-fi/adventure show (almost an anthology because every episode is so different) based on the historical plight of black ppl & ppl in color
1st episode - road trip episode where the black ppl had to avoid monsters (police & real)
2nd episode - magic/secret cult where white ppl have all the power but still need to exploit black ppl
3rd epidode - haunted house episode where black ppl where the victim of scientific experimentation
4th episode - Indian Jones/tomb raider adventure where white man exploited indigenous ppl
5th episode - freaky friday/body horror where a black women experiences real power/freedom
6th episode - korean traditional horror/epic crossed lovers in war but with ppl of color
this show hits every genre with a twist
the last episode was basically a movie and a foreign flick for the 1st half
real talk Jamie killed the role and deserves award nominations. they did so much in just 60 minutes to show develop her character and build a doomed romance between star-crossed lovers

its not officially an anthology (there are through lines and main characters) but every episode is almost built as a stand lone story focusing on different themes & horror/sci-fi tropes

If an officer is going to do something illegal like executing suspects he's going to put together a detail that he trusts and he knows has no problem with illegal activity. It's not likely he'd randomly pick someone for this type of detail.

yeah this show isnt for you and looks like you got caught up in the hype of being a signature HBO show and starring great black actors
In episode 2 the leader of the cult wanted to use Aticus (as the last living male relative of the founder) to open the garden of Eden and make them immortal. To force Tic's participation he shot Letti & Geogre. Letti died and he brought her back and promised to save Unc if Tic would help.
The ritual went bad (partially due to Tic and/or Christina). The leader turned to stone/died but Unc died from his wounds since there was no one to heal.
To be fair the show does suffer from breakneck pacing. The 1st two episodes could've been a complete season on its own

Then when he died, I thought more magic was used on him and I missed that part.

I don't see how it's confusing. Some stuff just hasn't been explained yet. Yeah they gave us the illusion that George died from the gun shot and then being carried out added to that. But since we didn't actually see him die, some think Montrose killed him. Why? To keep the secret safe perhaps, but who knows at this point. Just have to keep watching to get answers. I have watched every episode twice and that does help because you notice things that you didn't before.

my baby oops jurnee came back to life because magic is real well on the show its real alone with spells etc.the uncle didnt come back because the guy that knew the spell to bring him back died so thats why he didnt come back but later i bet in one of these eps tic will learn the books to bring him back .thats just what i think.i may be wrong but i hope they can do that.
