Its 2025, mfkrs didn't wear gloves?!! But how often/well does the museum cleaning staff clean those areas? Those could be samples from untold numbers of tourists/ visitors.

Wait, those mfkrs were still in the city 10 days later?!! I understand you might need specific tools/ specialized set up if you're going to buss down those pieces and have any chance of fencing the jewels in pieces.......

But to plan on taking public transportation??? Mfkrs had the scooters, but no "getaway car?" You're supposed to leave town in the dead of night in a snap, IN A CAR. Not book a plane and bus ticket somewhere, especially since its too hard to avoid using your real name today. "This ain't a movie dog." Getting really good fake passports and jumping on a commercial plane like an ordinary citizen is not easy.

I'm thinking prints came from an area no one touches or from the helmet/tools left behind or the DNA taken from them which would also eliminate any false suspects...... as for not wearing any gloves

Well as you saw, the 1st floor of the building is like 20 feet up. That was a major deterrent for over a century in itself......

But you pointis still valid.

I'm torn on the whole robbery during the day aspect.

They had a construction/ worker vehicle and uniforms so maybe they expected to blend in during the day..... and maybe that would've stood out more at night.

But damn it just seems like such a bold robbery wouldve been better at night. Also, spending 7 minutes inside for just 8 pieces is waaaay too long. Those dudes didn't do adequate prep work. That should've been an under 5 minute job of it was just 9 pieces (and you ended up dropping one of them.)

And if you know you had an extensive rap sheet...... why stay in the area, GTFO of town ASAP! The fence should've been arranged ahead of time or you take the enotee stash and leave town. Hide them in a safe somewhere and set up shop in a country without extradition. Let the heat die down and then try to fence them.....smh
