A day late and a dollar short
I bought it the week that it came out. I'm with you. There are songs on there that I have no problem listening to but I haven't thought about playing that album from beginning to end in a really long time. Albums that weren't as acclaimed or successful like All That I Am by Joe and JE Heartbreak by Jagged Edge aged better to me.

Miseducation of Lauryn Hill came out in summer of 1998......goddamn, I was in my second year of college. She was on her way to being a music icon....instead she became a punchline. Still have my original CD, but the only people who will care for this are the dummies who pay for a concert ticket expecting her to show up on time.
I am reminded of the Chris Rock bit that he talks about the music that is good to you is about when you started having sex (paraphrasing of course) The majority of these albums all came out within 10 years each other (outside of the Marvin Gaye album) if this is top of your head. At this point we are conversing over opinion so neither one of us will be right in the others eyes, which is cool as I was genuinely curious as to what a timeless album was to you...also Diary of a Mad Band?!?!?! THAT STYLE OF SINGING LET ALONE THAT ALBUM DOESN'T AGE WELL!!!!
Considering her habit of being late I bet every track on her album starts 35 seconds late after you hit play.
