Kelis is not only talented in the voice department, but has also trained in the culinary arts. She trained as a saucier from 2006 to 2010 and earned her degree from Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. At the Beverly Hills food and Wine Festival, she launched a line of sauces for sale named, ‘Feast’ which she renamed as ‘Bounty & Full’ in 2015. In 2014, she also started her own cooking show, ‘Saucy & Sweet’. Kelis is the author of two cookbooks — the first one was a collab with Lauren Pesavento. Her solo cookbook, named ‘My Life on a Plate’ was released in 2015. She still draws royalties from the sale of the books.
