Jazz legend Nat King Cole’s great-nephew, Tracy Cole, 31, stabbed to death in Atlanta: 'Everybody loved him'

Tracy Cole, the great-nephew of legendary singer Nat King Cole, was killed in an Atlanta stabbing last week. No suspects have been arrested.

A Georgia man who was killed this week while on an Atlanta street early Thursday morning has been identified as the great-nephew of legendary jazz singer and pianist Nat King Cole.

Tracy Cole, 31, was stabbed multiple times near the intersection of Centennial Olympic Park NE and Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard NW around 2 a.m. Thursday, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

No arrests have been made and investigators don’t have a motive.

[He was] always laughing, always smiling with his corny jokes," Cole’s friend Octavia Oliver said of him. "Everybody loved him."

I was just talking about this kinda shit to a friend the other day. I was telling her that the demon time niggas of Atlanta are fucking it up for everybody else. The incident where the 7-year girl was killed while riding in the car past Phipps Plaza because some dumb nigga that got robbed IN PHIPPS went outside and just started shooting into traffic out of anger showed me that yeah, these niggas are bringing everybody down. You have civilians walking around trying to live it up and enjoy Atl when the city is just an unoffical war zone. Anybody can get it being caught in the crossfire. And yeah, that's anywhere, but the probability is high in ATL, too high for comfort and celebration.

RIP to buddy. Sad day for the ATL musicians circle.

I was wondering why he would be out there at 2am but people have their legitimate reasons.

You can't have a false sense of security though. Not saying he did. I used to walk through Buckhead after midnight all the time to catch the last train home. Through wooded areas. Looking back, anything could have happened to me.

Also the unsolved murder of the lady in Piedmont park and her dog, stabbed up. You gotta know not to be in there after hours.

It's sad we can't fully enjoy our city anymore. Junkies and drug dealers, mentally disturbed homeless, and petty criminals rule the streets at night.

The nigga that killed the 7yr old girl at Phipps Plaza was wanted up here ( Norfolk, Virginia) he’s from Portsmouth, Virginia) for shooting and injuring 3 in Mac Aurthur mall he was on the run for bout 8 months to a year.

Not true, she was murdered because she was making the connection between

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth man previously convicted in connection to a 2019 shooting at the MacArthur Center mall is wanted in the slaying of a 7-year-old girl in Atlanta.

Atlanta police say Daquan Reed, 24, is wanted for felony murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and reckless conduct in the death of 7-year-old Kennedy Maxie.

Police say Reed had gotten into an argument days before Christmas in the parking lot of Saks Fifth Avenue, and fired several rounds as he left the area in his vehicle. One round fatally struck Maxie in the head. She was riding in the back seat of her mother’s car at the time and died days later at the hospital.

This is For those that don’t know BTW he was sentenced last year to Life + 15 yrs

From New Orleans. Been gone 17 years. Still have a house there. Was there last weekend, rode all over, hung in the hood by the yellow store Hickory and Eagle in Pigeon town. Got food from Keys on Louisiana. Had a great time. just fucking with you, New Orleans has gotten dangerous, but yall got way more sissies, Ill take Danger over Fags any day.

I almost lost my life down there at that shooting at the graduation at Xavier. I'll take gays in my city over danger.

But I'm sure we agree we would rather deal with neither on a daily basis
