Im trying to figure out how you've been out less than a month or so, spent years in prison, has the potential to make a good living ( the average former inmate doesn't) and still behave in this manner. I know prisons don't really rehabilitate but id think you'd seen enough and be old enough to modify your behavior after the experience.

For enough. Id still put that in the same lane. You are who you associate with. If he wasn't around at all, that is different and his name shouldn't have been attached. If he was in a position to de-escalate, unfortunately he is still responsible for the people around him to an extent.
