You missing what I’m saying.. you know how people move out this country to go to others, there’s people from other countries that move over here.. there’s people that also might be born here or lived here for a longtime that still keep lots of their old tradition.. the fact you think 20 million people ( New York population) that come from all kinda cultures, upbringing, funds, etc all act the same is pretty dense / close minded.. I’ve literally spoke about hanging out with , running with different cultures here in nyc and said how some move differently or how they operate on the day to day basis and use some of their culture and resources in order to operate in society.. ull be shocked on how many people still keep many of their traditions alive even in this country.. I’ve spoke on running with different Africans, West Indian, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, of course Afro Americans as well as other cultures.. you know how many different type of international restaurants we have, supermarkets, lounges, clubs, rental halls, banquets, etc that are literally African, West Indian, Latin American, etc.. Hell I got a whole ny food thread that literally is filled with different type of spots that are mostly non European… there’s locations in New York that you would literally be surrounded by nothing but African, West Indian, Latin culture where you could literally not step away from.. hell if you know ny literally there’s certain areas you say people automatically think thousands upon thousands of certain cultures.. when you hear the “heights” most people think of straight Dominican people.. understand this place called ny literally have hundreds of thousands of certain cultures.. like we might have like 10 different groups that are 100,000+ deep.. hell in the ny thread it was a segment explaining the hundreds of thousands of different West Indian groups, to the 5 fig amounts.. understand each group of people bring their culture to nyc.. its why its a big melting pot.. its why we laugh when tourist go to some cac area in 1 borough and swear to go they had the ny experience… if you haven’t been to at least 4 boroughs in particular the summer hit up various areas from day to night and stayed at weeks at a time you ain’t really experienced ny
