Bharti’s revenues in the three months to December 2011 in Africa rose 16 per cent to $1.06 billion as margins grew to 26.8 per cent from 19.1 per cent a year earlier. But its revenues in India, and Asia fell on increased competition and static customer numbers. However, the good news for Bharti is that it is slowly gaining on MTN.

The Indian-owned telecom gained two percentage points in terms of revenues to account for 15 per cent of the revenues on the continent in the industry by 2015.

So these guys are making more money in Africa than India where they have over a billion population...

People DID try and accomplish leaving. They went to what is now Liberia( Where they enslaved the locals) , they went to Haiti, they went to Nova Scotia, and Sierra Leone.

There were tons of independent Carribean islands to go to as well.

People actually came BACK to America from Haiti even before the emancipation proclamation. They did so because the economy sucked, there was coup after coup, plus the francophone culturewas foreign to them, and because it was HOT. They decided to go to northern states instead. They also had allies in abitionists in America and joining tbe Union army was a better route than maybe fighting tribal wars in West Africa. The slave trade didn't end there until the 1900s.


Honestly, the main reason Black Americans stayed here is because on the global landscape , itsfhe best place to be.
