Ice Cube may play BA Baracus

Another TV show to the big screen.


Shortly after Latinoreview broke the news that John Singleton would be directing a film version of the TV series 'The A-Team', Variety mentioned that Ice Cube was being considered for the role of BA Baracus, played famously by Mr. T.



While promoting his latest first, 'First Sunday', Ice Cube spoke to blackfilm.com about the possibility of being in the film.

Ice Cube: Hell yeah, especially with John Singleton directing!

What would you bring to the character?

Ice Cube: I wouldn't try to duplicate what Mr. T did, but I will have the same impact on you when you were little watching the TV show. I'm going to bring my own flavor to it and I am going to do the mohawk.

So, is the role definite for you?

Ice Cube: I don't know. They want me to do it if all the business works out right. I was a fan as a kid and that would be, not a dream come true, but it's definitely a good thing to do and I would put it on my resume for sure.

The character that Mr. T played was of just a brute. Any big bodied dude can do that.

I also agree if they're going to make it based on the old tv show (with the goofyness)...but if it supposed to be a 'serious' action movie then Rhames or Cube would be better...

from what i read hasselhoff IS in the new knight rider tv novie

I think it depends on what kind of B.A. theyre going for.

If they just want "big angry black man". anybody will do.

but if they wanna try something different and wanna reach a new audience thats in touch with today.
I think cube can do it.

besides Cube with a mohawk, chains, feather earrings, and an AK.

especially if he's working with somebody like jim carrey.
