What makes me ask this is last night Outkast was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. Usually all of those being inducted have to perform. Big boi DID perform. Andre still did not. He showed up, took pics on the red carpet, gave the speech, got his award but did not perform with big boi.
Mind you this is OLD stuff they are performing as Outkast. I get why he said he stopped rapping because there is nothing else for him to talk about/rap about and all that. But damn he can't even perform his OLD stuff this ONE time?? Its just this one time. Big boi still had to perform their stuff by himself and with some other artists like fµck!ng Doja Cat who clearly didn't even know some of the lyrics. I bet Andre knew them, so why the hell he didn't perform just this one time?
I don't get it. If he was against being inducted or anything, he simply wouldn't have showed up and just let big boi and the rest of the dungeon attend. But he does show up. He takes pictures and all of that, but wouldn't perform? As an ATLien, it pisses me off. He already moved from here and went to california and all that sh!t. I respect his refusal to make new rap music. But to avoid performing old things as well, even if its just one time for like 2 minutes? The performance was not great btw. All the other artists that stood in for his ass alongside big boy did terrible. What is his deal?
