As part of our ongoing efforts to develop a telehealth treatment that provides culturally intentional therapy for underserved communities, Hurdle is partnering with the National Institute of Health to facilitate a study around substance and alcohol use treatment for Black men.
Participants in this study will complete weekly or bi-weekly mental health teletherapy appointments over the course of three months, along with a set of clinical screening questionnaires. All therapy sessions will be offered to participants at no cost, and you may be compensated up to $255.
To be eligible for this study, you or someone you know must be an adult male who is trying to reduce your substance and/or alcohol use. You must also self-identify as Black and/or African American, and you’ll need to have access to a computer with internet.
