Then she said, 'that's not what you said earlier.' Whatever was said earlier was said without her man present or he would already know what was said. What happened earlier could have been between them, but she told her man that something was said for a reason..... to instigate an ass whooping......like it was said before, she knows her man whoops ass.

Now, I understand where you are coming from and can see it like that as a possible scenario. We don't know the full story so we are left to speculate. Just my own gut feeling, it feels as I described and in yours it feels otherwise. That's perfectly fine to disagree.
I don't think she was trying to instigate an ass whooping and that's just based on the tone of everything going on. I think she might have been offended and then everything else transpired. I'd also rather someone address things in the open while people are around as opposed to later on when things could get back to that other person completely messed up "telephone game situation"
