Hall&Oates touring in 2020. What white acts HAVE you paid to see or WOULD pay to see?

I saw Hall and Oates at a concert with Train last year and Hall and Oates let that shit the fuck up. I would highly recommend them because they still put on a good show.

I saw Patti LaBelle here in Cleveland back in August, she still puts on an amazing show at 75.

I saw Celine Dion down in Columbus and she put on the best concert I've ever seen in my life. That little tiny white woman has an amazingly powerful voice. I think she's 51

but by far the best classic person I saw was Charlie Wilson last year at the Cincinnati jazz Fest in July. That dude was 65 dancing and energetic. He had more energy than Xscap3 (who took 3 breaks in 20 minutes)

Charlie Wilson did all of his hits, plus all of the Gap band hits. Dude said he went from rags to riches, riches to rags, from being a crackhead, back to rags to riches again.

I've seen Brad Paisley nine times in the past nine years

I saw India Arie in August.

I've seen Boyz II Men twice

Brian McKnight
Eric Benet
Wayne Brady (he wasn't singing the whole time/comedy)
Jill Scott (Cincinnati jazz fest)
John Mayer
Aerosmith
Train

First, let me say I really don't care what color or creed a musician is as long as the music is done well.

Have Seen:

Sting
Steely Dan
Charlie Byrd
Lee Ritenour
Primus
Kraftwerk
Mastodon
Dominic Miller
Huey Lewis and The News.

Will probably See:

Dave Mathews Band
Paul McCartney
The Rolling Stones
Peter Gabriel
Suzanne Vega (If she hits coffee shop/bookstore in my neck of the woods.)

Man, I'd love to see him, Jean Luc Ponty & Down To The Bone as well. Oh, and Lee Ritenour.
I once saw Jeff Lorber performing with Gerald Albright and Kirk Whalum... It was a tribute to Grover Washington Jr. I'll never forget that concert. The last song they played was Mister Magic. They finished their set, and all of the musicians started walking off the stage. Then Jeff stops, goes back to the key board and starts playing the intro to Mister Magic. All of the musicians come back on stage, grab their axes and join in. That shit was nuts.

Thanks for reminding Me to add to my list.
I saw Jean Luc Ponty about four times.
Also Lee Ritenour as part of a GRP Tour if I recall.
GRP (Grusin Rosen Productions or something like that) used to have it cracking as a label. Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, and David Benoit just to name a few were artists there. Dave Grusin and Lee Ritenour did an album together called 'Harlequin'. This was the first time I heard Ivan Lins sing. I've been a fan of his ever since.

My biggest regrets are the concerts I missed and someone passed away...as with Soundgarden. I was gonna see em, when they were here. Next show later and Chris Cornell's dead.

One of the last of my fave 90s bands, Smashing Pumpkins, is the one band I wanna see.

Have seen:
KISS (I saw the current lineup about 10 years ago. Not the original lineup with Peter Criss and Ace Frehley)
Skid Row (Sebastian Bach was already out of the group unfortunately)
George Strait
John Mayer
Khruangbin
Joe Bonamassa

Want to see:
Van Halen (With Sammy Haggar because David Lee Roth can't sing for shit)
Aerosmith
Motley Crue (I've always wanted to see Tommy Lee's floating/spinning/upside down drum solo in person. Nikki Sixx can EAD tho.)

I did College Radio during the mid-80s. GRP was one of the labels that came through for Me (along with Windham Hill among a few others). Because while everyone else was programming R&B, HIp-Hop, etc., I was in a more relaxed groove in those days. I got to see and meet quite a few acts on that roster. The BEST one was Special EFX. Chieli Minucci the band's guitarist, was ragging on their Percussionist George Jinda (R.I.P.) about having his own dressing room at the old The Bottom Line during the show. After the GRP Rep introduced Me to the Band, Jinda said to Me,

"OF COURSE I DESERVE MY OWN DRESSING ROOM! I'M NOT SHARING WITH THOSE FA**OTS OVER THERE!"

That shit came out of nowhere.
The GRP Rep was totally embarrassed.
But all those Cats were just dying.

Almost forgot to mention, my kids and I saw the Barenaked Ladies do a free concert at a Canadian bookstore back in 2008. They were promoting their first and last children's album at the time.

Never really been a big fan of their music, but I was really impressed by how smoothly they were able to switch instruments in between songs, even on their new material.

my youngest daughter was pissed that they didn't perform the song from The Chicken Little soundtrack and let them have it during the autograph signing. They were like "what song was that again?"

That's funny...

A lot of great music was put out back then: Acoustic Alchemy, Flim and the BB's, etc... I remember DMP was putting out high quality digital recordings. I bought a Carver amplifier to push these 15" cerwin vega's I bought for my house... I swear, it sounded like the musicians were in the room. You could hear the drumsticks clicking, and flute players breathing... That was a great time for quality music.

One of my fav concerts ever!

I saw the 7and the Ragged Tiger tour, when I was about 21 or 22..me and one of my pardnas.

There were about 90some percent women...mostly young hot white gurls, and their milf mom's. I was in heaven!

I remember jokingly praying that if the Earth ended and just that concert venue was spared, I'd be ok with it...

LOL! Aint NOBODY seen U2 in concert? That figures, 70k concert and I don't remember seeing any black folks there. I will say they put on an AMAZING stadium show. I doubt that anyone puts on as big as of spectacle.

Fuck that bullshit! I never saw any white people at any James Brown concerts. As you said, "talent is talent"
Huh? White deejays played his records AT THE JAMES BROWN RADIO STATION. You will see white people dancing at his concerts on YouTube. If anything black entertainment fought to integrate the audience. Millennial, stop.

My musical taste is very eclectic. I've seen several White acts, including:

Steely Dan
Michael McDonald
Manhattan Transfer (5x)
David Sanborn (3x)
Michael Franks (2x)
Maroon 5
Billy Joel
Acoustic Alchemy
Gary Burton
Rippingtons (3x)
Marion Meadows
Bob James (2x, not including with Fourplay, whom I've seen many times)
Pat Metheny

Music is music, man. I wouldn't mind seeing Hall and Oates.

Nice list, but its getting harder and harder to see Pat Metheny in the southeast US.
