Goden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson has a concussion after all, the Warriors announced Friday. He will not return to the court until he goes through the NBA's concussion protocol, so there is currently no timetable for his return. This throws his status for Thursday's Game 1 of the NBA Finals in doubt

Sucks.

As soon as I saw the blood leaking from his ear I knew he would be out for at least several games. That shit was ugly to to see. :smh:

George Hill came back in no time. He could be ready sooner than a week.

Dude threw up after the game :smh:

I knew he was gonna be out.

He's one step away from brain injury :smh:

Golden State are morons. I said it to someone else... Why do they keep rushing cats back in the game??

Steph was allowed back immediately after he hit his head in a blowout loss. And then Klay was allowed right back in after a fucking knee to the dome in a got dam blowout win.

I hope the union files a grievance.

Bron gotta be the luckiest mufukka in NBA HISTORY with opponent injuries

  Lucky? He lost his third option before the Bulls, and basically beat the Bulls and the Hawks without Irving(and Smith missing two games). How is that Lucky?

The NBA's protocol can be passed in one day. Klay should be fine for the game -- until Shump fucks with his head. :hmm:

oh gimme a break

he is going to play.....

funny how GSW stated it was just a contusion just a day ago tho......*ps team dont give no fucks bout their health*

basically they cared more about closing out houston than whether Klay's head was like a ziploc bag of jello

How do you figure that? He may have leaned a bit to draw contact but how'd he know Akneeza would come in thinking it was fight time?

Go watch the play again fam.

I'll try to post it, but there's an angle that's damn near floor level.

Thompson is at least a foot or more behind the three point line. Ariza anticipates the shot so he jumps trying to block it.

Thompson sees him, takes a HUGE step inside the free throw line with his right foot, dips his shoulder, and goes up INTO Ariza. As he's jumping into him that's when the knee to the head occurs.

This was TOTALLY avoidable by Thompson.

At the time he did that dumb shit, he was on FIRE. He passed on the 3 to step inside the 3 point line to take a 2. TBH it looks to me like he was trying for some get back for the incident between Ariza and Curry.

All he had to do was pump fake, watch Ariza fly by him, and take the shot. He probably would have drilled it seeing how he was playing at the time.

I hate that it happened because I would like to see both teams full strength at the finals. But if you look at that play objectively, you'll see that this was all on Thompson and could have easily been avoided.

Look at it here, it's on a loop.

He was at least a foot behind the 3 point line and when he saw Ariza jump his right foot went from a foot behind the 3 point line to damn near 2 feet inside of the 3 point line.

All he had to do was let Ariza fly past him and go up for an uncontested shot.

As much as i hate to say it, this is on KLAY

If scared of wolf don't go in woods...

actually looks to me like ariza missed him initially then pushed that right knee forward :dunno:
