Gillum’s Endgame was weak. Probably trusted the polls. That hurricane and yoga studio murder didn’t help his cause either.

The elephant in the room that is being ignored is that most of the Democrats, in Georgia, are African-American or part of the gay umbrella since the Blue & Yellow Dog Democrat exodus in the early 2000s. They also mostly live north of the "Piney Woods" of the state, in the larger cities. This is why most of Stacy Abrams money came from out of state and they flew in Oprah and Obama. The Democratic Party of Georgia is broke and the national party really needed to secure victories after so many successive defeats.

I just can't believe you got so many likes with such an asinine comment. Whenever we gain a political position its a major accomplishment. I would even say it defies the odds.
Obviously you don't yet understand that black people are not the majority race in any state. The numbers are never on our side.
Neither Gillum or Abrams had the numbers on their side (you can never trust polls). Yet neither got blown away and black people did get out there and vote. GA had 3 hour lines and there were lines in Florida too.
This is one time (I'm happy to say) the fault isn't because of black people not participating, they were there and they voted. The reality is Gillum or Abrams didn't get enough white support. Don't be shocked I say this because if every eligible black person voted we would still need outside support to elect an official. Look at Obama's numbers we didn't elect him alone, he had plenty of support aside from ours. The same applies here.
We got a partial victory, that's a start.
