I used to love going to church. Until one day one of the assistant pastors felt my butt during prayer. I just haven't made it back since. Its too bad the TV pastors are sooo damn money hungry. I just found out my friends baby daddy is a pastor/drug dealer. I think once you realize what's going on behind the scenes you start to question if you want to go to church.

Well I wouldn't doubt it. I stopped going when I saw these "white" ppl actually turn up there noses at a man who looked like he was struggling (I guessed that because of his condition) and just came to church to pray. They looked at him like he had no right to be there and I honestly wanted to break those bitches necks and ever since that I have not been back.

Mna Im not gon lie homie, the 1st time I was n church n years was n December when we buried my grandmother. She was a devout Catholic, so they did an entire mass during the funeral. I remember sitting there thinking how upset she would b that I no longer go. Cuz growin up u had 2 go every Sunday, sometimes twice. I hope she understands tho, its always so much bs n these churches nowadays. :smh: :smh: :smh: 100

i only go for weddings and holidays like easter and convention for the bitches which is once a year

J Storm, if you don't believe in it to begin with, then why does it apparently cause YOU so much anger? Just curious.

As an atheist, I'm somewhat more lax to religion than some of my brethren. I think what you call it, his "anger", comes from the view of it being a form of child abuse. i.e. forcing belief on a child where they don't have the mental capacity to come to a conclusion themselves.

Almost a decade.

I Try To Go Every Weekend And Its Not T he Pstor Its The Word Of God So It Doesnt Really Matter About What The Pastor Is Doing Behind Closed Doors As Long The Word Is Right I'lll Try To Be In Church Every Weeknd Because God Has Been Good To Me For Soooo Long

I appreciate the input, however, I'm sure the brother J Storm can speak for himself on this.

But I do have a question for you, since you brought up child abuse as a possible cause for anger. If your 5 year old son was exibiting homosexual "tendancies" in the way he talked, walked, or acted, is it then "child-abuse" to "force" a belief of heterosexuality on them or should he be allowed come to this conclusion himself without any interference from his parents?

Your statement implies that children should be get their value system from the world and not their parents. If that is the case, then our children are doomed, because the world doesn't care about them, the world is only out to exploit our children. I believe that we are our children's BEST defense against this exploitation.

that's messed up homegirl don't let one false prophet destroy you from hearing the teachings of the lord

Christmas.

I usually only go when I'm back in my hometown in my home church, where, I've been going all my life and know I'm not being judged, especially I don't have on a suit (usually casual, never jeans or nothing) or when I don't put $$$ in the collection plate (just don't have it sometimes).

On top of that, a lot of preachers are pulpit pimps......congregation giving their time and last dollars and struggling to keep the lights on, meanwhile the pastor and his wife are livin the fuckin good life, nice car, nice home.....fuck that

Finally, I'm not into the mega church thing, my church had maybe 150 families, the pastor knew everyone by name, came and had dinner with your family, came to the hospital when your mother or relative was sick and prayed with them.....but I'll be damned if I'm putting time and money into a church where the pastor, asst. pastor, deacon, etc. don't even know me or take the time to know me and mine on a first name basis.
