They ain't gonna listen to us. Tell them this... when you hit about 40, them years go into overdrive, flying by like no tomorrow, till one day, there actually will be no tomorrow, for you. I accept that I'm in the last chapters of my book, and that doesn't scare me. Death itself I don't find frightening, but the process scares me. If I don't die excruciatingly painfully, it's all good. The part that is such a shame is that I endured a sad and miserable childhood, but in my senior chapter I'm having a storybook fantasy life. That means I'm gonna have to punch my card right in the middle of the best part of the party. Shit!

I had a conversation with Bobby Hebert, and he told me when the game slowed down for him, he was too old to do some of the shit he wanted to do. That's how I view life right now. Funny thing is, I just got a promotion this week, because of my outside-the-box thinking ability and being able to do everybody else's job. Those above and below me. When the CEO realized I was able to do the guy above me job better than him, he told me I might as well take that job, and they strongly suggested that he put in his two weeks notice to avoid being fired. Don't feel bad for him. He's white. He'll be aight. Plus, I graduated college at 50 years old. Can you imagine me at 22 years old with a college degree and making 81k a year? I would be a straight knucklehead, considering how much money Tony MF Rock blew!!!

Yeah, I'm in a good place too. Don't make near the money I used to but it's all free. I'm retired, all 24 hours are mine, every day. What a life. Too bad I couldn't get this hook up when I was young enough to really make it fly. Still it's like a sweet dream knowing you'll never wake for work again unless you want to on your terms. I do a little something with the food bank here. People are really hurting, but that ain't work. I like watching hungry people eat. The hungrier they are, the more fun it is to serve them.
