Since this conflict started the price of energy has skyrocketed here in the UK, but yet just to make their own people suffer, they would rather support a country that has done nothing for the UK
I normally try to make sense of things but I’ve have found a reasonable reason yet
I understand the reason for Washington have a hardon for being down Putin and em but the EU’s logic does exist(for em)
So if you were in charge of Germany and the EU, you'd let Putin invade Ukraine and wouldn't try to stop him?
Ukraine has to have some resources to offer in exchange for protection from a madman trying to commit mass murder and unlawfully invade their land?
Lets just add to this that Ukraine is not part of the European Union, so the EU had no issue with what was going on over there in Ukraine. If you look at the conflict between these two countries, everything started back in 2014. Also make note of the actions the Ukrainian government were taking against the ethnic Russians living in Ukraine, hence why the special military conflict happened. So if you were in charge of Germany and the EU, you'd let Putin invade Ukraine and wouldn't try to stop him?

Since this conflict has started, the UK energy bills have gone up almost threefold since. So much so that the UK government had to issue additional financial support to help those less well off.
If I was in charge of Germany I definitely wouldn’t never pushed to cripple Russia.
The push to wage war with Russia has been in the play. Using Ukraine is/was the recent attempt
The German people are suffering at the hands of their leadership and being compressed by Washington and NATO.
Why the fuck would I want to pay a zillions time more for LNG from Washington when I can get cheaper prices from Russia. The same LNG mind you.
USA - $65 mmbtu
Russia - $1015 mmbtu
So.... what's your answers to my actual questions?
You answered (kind of) one question. So what about the EU?
Looking at that situation, I would have looked at either the option of sending my country into a war with Russia, or alternatively, send weapons and assistance to Ukraine to help them fight Russia. I believe that this is the option that the EU chose. Seems that they were more comfortable with a proxy war rather than directly confront the Russians. So if you were in charge of Germany and the EU, you'd let Putin invade Ukraine and wouldn't try to stop him?

I read something a while back, saying the purchases happen some time ago. Before the SMO started and this why Zelensky kept sending troops into death traps. Them folks want their land.Looking at that situation, I would have looked at either the option of sending my country into a war with Russia, or alternatively, send weapons and assistance to Ukraine to help them fight Russia. As for those resources, most of them are in the east, which is now under Russian control. The purchase of Ukrainian land by non-gov organizations has already begun.
