I'm not a professional athlete but I would assume any non-football related activities before a playoff game would be viewed as not taking the game seriously. Especially when they didn't have a lot of time to prepare. Romo caught hell when he went on a vacation when they had a bye before the game. But nobody would be talking about any of this if they would've won. All those damn drops didn't help either.

the line can't be bad and eli can't be bad at the same time.

i disagree with why the offense is the way it is. it changed to tempo 2 years ago after being kind of a dinosaur as the way it was being run.
they switched to uptempo hand signals and getting the ball out quick that's the offense and that's the design of it.

I agree that there are a lot of variables at play. Eli, the line, play calling, etc. The problem that I have is Eli looked sharp in his last game of the season. Peppers went up against Flowers and found the fountain of youth. Play calling didn't put the ball in the hands of the highest paid Giant to move the ball when they were backed up in their own territory.
So I ask myself, is the play-calling conservative because they don't trust Eli? Is Macadoo, an offensive "guru", in over his head and hopes that the defense will bail him out? Or, does Mac know they have turnstiles for tackles? I mean, it doesn't make sense to be conservative if Eli was "good Eli".
Good Eli or bad Eli it's the same offense. Series of short passes and slant and the go route from time to time on man to man coverage.
Play calling was bad on a few series where the giants were backed up and he didn't even try to exploit the packers

in the giants thread I said anything short of a super bowl appearance results in me heavily scrutinizing eli next season...I'm about to be as morbid as the dtown brothers next fall...that loss seriously had me down...I'm now actually getting back to better spirits man...it wasn't just the loss but the way them niggas completely embarrassed us
