Chris Broussard offers his thoughts on the fates of various superstars after the All-Star Break and like just about everyone else believes the Nets are the "odds-on favorite" to wind up with Dwight Howard, citing among other things the Derrick Rose-like sneaker deal he could sign once the team is in Brooklyn and he's paired with Deron Williams.

Howard's preference would be to sign with New Jersey as a free agent, thereby allowing the Nets to keep the solid role players -- Brook Lopez, MarShon Brooks, Kris Humphries, Jordan Farmar and Anthony Morrow -- they'd have to trade to get him before March 15.

Broussard adds that Billy King hasn't put together a three or four team deal yet because of Orlando's reluctance to engage in talks. He claims the Warriors called the Nets in December to offer Monta Ellis any multi-team deal. He also suspects that if the Nets sign Howard in July expect renewed talks about Lopez for Ellis. But within hours of Broussard's story, Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that the Nets have "no interest in a Brook and Monta trade.

The nets strengths would be at the 5 4 1 while the heat would be at 2 and 3. Honestly I still give the advantage to Miami.

Brook Lopez would move to his natural position Power Forward. So the question is how will play defense against Brook and Dwight.

Also the Nets will still have their MLE. That can go for a veteran defensive stopper. Hell they already have Stevenson.

The Nets acquire Dwight in the free agency. We keep Marshon Brooks who as a rookie has proven he can score in this league. Imagine how much easier the game will be when he has team worry about Deron Brook and Dwight.

Also I haven't even mention that the Nets would likely be in the lottery as well. So they will have a high lottery pick.

The only thing that has me concern is the coach but he can always be replaced

I made some moves in my Fantasy league because I don't think that the Magic are stupid enough to keep him past the trade deadline. If that's so, then so be it, but I don't really see that happening.

ur ignoring that Deron, never chose the nets to begin with and even in Utah wanted to test being a FA and be courted. He's not gonna finish the season then run to the nets to sign.
