Durant is Superman man of the League and Westbrook is his kryptonite

When Westbrook get into that I'm taking my shots and don't care how bad the shot are mode that coach gotta know when to bench his ass. It seems like the worst his shot is the more he wants to shoot.

Nigga was recklessly driving to the hole at inopportune times and he completely blew his defensive assignment there at the end

These are just jokes nothing else

Had to bring these back

Still I think OKC will be okay

westbrook has his flaws

but his pros outweigh his cons.

They signed him to the max because they fully believe in the kid.

for all the shots he missed he was putting tremendous pressure on the SAS interior defenders

They got the best shooter in basketball not touching the ball at the end of the 4th quarter in a close game because Westbrook wants to be on Sports Center

he was setting ppl up for dimes and they were missing

i'd rather him go to the hole than settle for 3's

he'll get it together imo

his defensive intensity has picked up, that i'm glad to see.

they'll be alright

I'm saying I wonder how many shots people want Durant to end up taking anyway?

They signed him to the max because he is a max talent, but I still want to see Durant play alongside a pure pg. You build teams that complement your best player. Westbrook is not that. That's why as a Hornets fan I was hoping for a CP3/Emeka trade for Westbrook/Ibaka.

Westbrook kept taking the shots trying to be the hero and he miss a layup that could have put the game away.

outside of a couple ill advised 3pt attempts I dont think that his selection was horrid(may rewatch the game and ammend my opinion if necessary)

He drove hole 3 times toward the end of the game and tried to do a Jordan move while 2 to 3 players were in the paint defending the basket. He had Durant posted up asking for the ball he ignored him and went hole on some crazy shit. He was trying to be the hero in that game and made them lose.

first time seeing these.

I am going to have a hard time watching First Take on ESPN today. Skip Bayless has been screaming how shoot first Westbrook is for two years now. This game, and the finals last year (except for one game) only add wind to his sails. :smh: I don't agree a lot with Skip, but I do believe that Durrant saying that he wants Westbrook to score more/take his shot whenever, does not help Kevin. He is standing in the corner - a lot - waiting for passes that never come. He approves of it so he can't really complain. And it appears that he doesn't.

The 1 negative I see with Durant is he is 2 nice. The way he talked last year he is shocked that people even have a problem with Westbrook taking way 2 many shots

Yeah. Its a different breed nowadays. I am not bashing players of today, but you would never have the love fest that goes on now. Again, I don't subscribe to Skip Bayless on A LOT of points, but I am down with two things. Durrant GIVES westbrook the license to be reckless because he openly said the team is BETTER when Westbrook shoots more.:hmm: Son, I know you want to back your team mate against criticism - but YOU are "the man". Jordan, Isaiah, Bird, would have never said no -ish like that. Support and total capitulation are two different things.

Second, Durrant and LeBron being so close. Last year, I saw with my own eyes - not Skip's - how passive KD was on defense towards LeBron in the Finals. He was not gutter, aggressive or vocal at all. No hard fouls, no intimidation, no trash talk to get him off his game - no nothing. LeBrons LeBron ate that up. Jason Terry and Stevens personally DESTROYED LeBron's confidence in the previous years finals. Took dude totally out of his game mentally. Too many friends on the court now. This is definitely hurting OKC. Kevin's gotta lead and me more alpha male for OKC to be a success IMO.

A year later and people are still with this nonsense. The Heat lost that finals not due to no bullshit trash talk.

they lost it because Lebron was passive.

Trash talk does nothing

You think the Celtics, Pacers didnt trash talk.

Plus I see that people are so wrapped up in the machismo of sports commentary that they believe that you cant be a winner unless you display asshole qualities

maybe cranrab or LP can break it down for me. I don't watch enough OKC to have a valid opinion.

with Maynor back why not start him and have westbrook at the two.

That has repercussions for the second unit. I am not saying that it is not worth considering but it is not an easy choice

If Westbrook don't shoot who else is gonna do the scoring? The French man? J.coles lil brother? Angry face Perkins? Serge Lebron don't play D Ibaka? White man can't jump? Who motherfuckers who...

Y'all wasn't saying shit when he was beasting the heats this past June in the finals tho...first game into the season and he shoots to much all ready...smh

Now we can get back to what the Thunder's real problem is: Westbrook going dumb. That idea of starting Maynor could've worked if they kept Harden because Harden could run the point coming off the bench but I mean Harden would've went "Westbrook" as well once he realized who the hell is on their second unit.

OKC is not deep.

at least someone else realizes that in their system Westbrook has to take a substantial number of shots too

Westbrook grabbed some key rebounds in this game as well

Brooks is going to have to utilize some of those younger guys. Lamb and Perry Jones will see some playing time alongside Martin

The point is this the same thing that happen last night and that the crew said it best as Cwebb said.

Back in the day they would say let AI score 40. You rather him score 40. They even pointed out how the Spurs were going under the screens and giving dude open shots.

Again you bring up the Heat game like they won that series :lol::lol:

Seriously???

Now I do think OKC will work things out but anyone who seen me post know I prefer a traditional point guard (CP3). I know Westbrook is a two guard that they tried to turn into the point.

The same problems and flaws showed last night is nothing new.

Next time if you going to use a playoff series as an example pick one where when he was "beasting" it resulted in a win for his team. That is more important

So I just peeped the highlights because I missed the game and Westbrook and his horrible decision making cost them that game. OKC has always been terrible at rotation and being in the correct spots on defense.

We'll see how this season goes for them. I think they will be fine.

Killa like I said in my rant who else is gonna shoot on that squad? ur a bball cat answer that for me plz? yes they lost the heat series but u can't deny that he beasted the heats..once they figured out the pick n roll with Parker he beasted the spurs and the Mavs

U already know he's a 2 guard playing point what u expect him to do average 11 assist like the Rondo and Paul FOH, I don't want my point guard shooting as much as my go to guy but on that squad he has to shoot as much as Durant
