For a good minute I thought I was in the 1800's as oppose to 2008. How u gonna have white people in u'r congregation and u'r gonna preach what can be easily interpreted as a racist sermon towards them while it's being recorded. Its kinda funny in a sense cause if u were to flip the script where if the pastor was white and he was sayin the same thing, imagine how it would come off as lol.

Most pastors use analogys in their sermons to get their point across. Even though his attempt was poor & fucked up as ever, I can understand what he was trying to say. He does have a very valid point 'bout Obama not ever being to jail. The pastor wasn't speaking in the literal sense, it was more in the metaphorical or spirtual sense. U can't be a champion of the "people", when u were never at one point in u'r life one of the "people" u'r self.

Every great leader in history(which he mentioned) was born or created out of greater cause than himself. U can't be a good leader if u can't relate to the people(blacks) u'r suppose to lead. If u have never been oppressed, poor, and experience some form of prejudice the way most blacks have at one point in their lives faced, how can u be a good black leader. So compared to most blacks, Obama grew up relatively privillaged at least according to his biography that I read.

That's the thing about religion, it allows people to wear a robe or collar who can twist bible scriptures to justify anything.
