It wasn't until half way through that season he became a repertory cast member and that's when he began to really shine creatively. You can only work with what you're given. I always thought SNL was corny apart from the Eddie Murphy era. Give this guy a chance.

Dude would have killed on Madtv. That being said, I think he'll get better each week within the constraints of SNL. This is just the beginning. I wish him all the best. :dance:

Joe Piscapo and Eddie Murphy were hand in hand as the two top talents of SNL during the early 80's. They carried the show for 2 years.

Piscapo did dead on impersonations of several celebrities. Sinatra, Rich Little, etc. etc.
Where is Piscapo now? I think he's doing shows at Moghegan Sun and Bally's.

Why do people perceive truth as hate, especially in the black community.
I recognize the guy's talent - I just don't think he's as talented or flexible as Meadows.

Tim Meadows isn't doing anything special right now nor did he do any worthwhile impressions or bring any really good characters to the show. The ladies man isn't even all that nice. The new guy has impersonations down, but its a novelty act, then again daryl hammond found a way to milk that for years. And this is his first year, let's give him some time for the writers to come up with something.

  • He doesnt seem to perform well under pressure or with a crowd, his Denzel wasnt as tight as the one he does solo.
  • They dialog for the sketch was wack, that may be why he didnt seem as funny as normal doing denzel. The fact that he had lines instead of freestyling.
  • His facial expressions are too exaggerated that it looks more goofy than authentic and funny.
