"DEEP COVER" all the way.
And one of the BEST film soundtracks EVER!!!

"IN TOO DEEP"?
I barely remember it.

No poll?

But anyway gotta go with Deep Cover.

I barely remember In Too Deep. Will have to go watch that again now that I think about it. I remember it was pretty good with great performances by both lead actors. But Deep Cover had a far greater impact on me. I used to have that on VHS back in the 90s. Action type flick that I used to watch over and over again quite regularly.

Plus Fishbourne is no joke in this. Not many actors let alone black actors in all of Hollywood are in this dude's league. He straight SMOKED that role thoroughly. He hasn't gotten as many industry props or breaks through his career as say Denzel or even Morgan Freeman for that matter but dude talent wise is one of the best in the game.

In Too Deep was deep but Deep Cover was extra intriguing it had more subplots going on at the same time...

I spent 3 years undercover in Manhattan and Brooklyn, back in the 90's. For me In Too Deep was more what it is really like to be under, than Deep Cover portrayed. There was a lot of hollywood bs in it that a real undercover would not go through or do, but it was more what its really like.

Even though In Too Deep was based on some real shit, I feel like Deep Cover was a better story. It was better acting, too.

I loved the ending when he asked him about the money: "What's the difference between a Black man and a niqqer?"

"What!?"

Gut-punch. "The niqqer is the one that would even think about telling you."
