Can somebody tell Drake he isn't a Reggae artist...

Drake growing up in Toronto have a lot to do with his influence fake Jamaican accent... My only complaint with drake with his music is stop trying to sing on every damn song you put out. Nicca just rap.
He can do whatever he want to do and use whatever style he want to use. If you got a problem with it how about you pick up a mic and rap the style you want to hear.

My main genre is and always has been R&B. Everything else(including rap) I "dabble" in.

My comment could've came as though I was calling Reggae "bullshit" which is why I said no diss. I'm familiar with many types of music. Doesn't mean I like it or could break down every aspect of it. My opinion on it is completely subjective.
If you like R&B so much maybe you need to pop in a Johnny Gill cd or something.

Co-sign

He's from Toronto, West indian influence is extremely heavy here....we make up over 70% of the black population.

I got no issue with him anybody from my city or artists like Foxy brown or Rhianna doing that type of style because it comes off as genuine based on their background and/or where they rep
True

Niggas just said fuck a car, Aubrey's meat is a far better mode of conveyance and no gas money is needed. I fucks with some of his music (which is in fact absolutely pop & he's known for jackin' whatever style is hot or "in") but this faux, bullshit ass dancehall shit he's on is not da business and I personally don't give a fuck whichever one of his stans doesn't like it.

He said its terrible.. his opinion
You in the other hand said some dumb shit talkin bout no diss to reggae.. shut yo clown ass up

What was dumb about what I said? Drake doesn't make for a great reggae artist? That is my opinion. How is that dumb? My opinion is completely subjective. Some folks will love it and I'm not mad at that. I said those reggae influenced tracks of his are bullshit but I like reggae so I wasn't trying to diss. Fuck is so hard to understand?

So ross ain't body drake on lord knows?

He ain't body Kanye on devil in a dress

I was listening to that shit earlier and was Tryna picture big spitting those verses and I could def imagine him saying those same bars

Nicca, I am a TRU hip hop fan and I've rights to my own opinion to judge this corny AS nicca singing on every song he puts out, this ain't hip hop this is pop music. He don't make music for me anymore I get that, he evolving for different kind of crowd which I'm not part of

The album is expected to debut at No. 1.

Drake released More Life over the weekend and has already broken a few records on his way back to the top of the charts, MissInfo points out.

On Spotify, the “playlist” has already racked up the most first-day album streams as well as the most overall streams by an artist in one day. With 61.3 million Spotify streams in one day, More Life knocks out the recent record holder, Ed Sheeran’s godawful ÷ which earned 56.7 in the same time and broke a few records itself.

Billboard says the album is predicted to reach No. 1, making it Drake’s seventh consecutive release to debut in the slot.

Drake’s More Life gives US streaming boost to Giggs, Skepta and Jorja Smith

It pays to be pals with Champagne Papi.

Drake’s co-sign has always been a boon for artists and has brought people like Makonnen and Migos out of the underground and onto the radio. It’s no different for his latest project More Life. The BBC reports that streaming in the US has gone up for UK artists like Giggs, Skepta and Jorja Smith following the Saturday evening release of the “playlist”.

Giggs, who features on tracks ‘No Long Talk’ and ‘KMT’, has had an increase in US streams on Spotify by 146%. While Drake’s admiration for grime and UK rap has been no secret, the pair’s connection is heightened even more by their mutual outsiders’ love of southern hip-hop.

The US has already gotten a heavy dose of Skepta – primarily via Drake’s influence – and, still, his US Spotify streams by almost a quarter, clocking in at 21%.

Newcomer Jorja Smith also got a little bit of boost, with her streams going up 12% in the US.

More Life was released this past Saturday. Check it out here.
