I work with two biracial females who have white mothers and those sistas are soo clueless to things! It really amazes me. One is 33 years old, she came to me and asked me could I teach her how to make soul food. She had no idea how to make anything. Her husband is black and she wanted to cook for him. When I talk about things in black culture, like being in the black church and you put your index finger up to go to the bathroom (lol) she looked at me like this  She is completely clueless to black culture and I feel sorry for ole girl.

The other one is even worse and she's 38 years old! She wanted to go see Tyler Perry's movie, and she has a history of depression and suicide after a brotha left her! He told her he was going to marry her and he didn't. She is weak as hell. I told her that I think the Tyler Perry movie subject matter is a bit heavy for her, since she has been going through emotional issues again. I told her that his movie was based off a play that came out years ago, I remember as a kid seeing it in Essence magazine. She said, "Essence magazine--I've never read it, it's a black woman's magazine with fashion in it, right?"

WTF man. I feel sorry for these girls, white women have raised them and they are totally clueless to life.

Reading this, reminds me of this dude I was in the army with. He was married to a biracial chick who was raised by a white mother, and one day she wanted to make him fried chicken, and she used corn meal, instead of flour!:lol:

they are not black

they are black and white like Obama

They did not miss out on anything probably other than a two parent up-bringing.

Are you not married to a white man?

No I'm not, but I don't understand what that has to do with this story.

I was raised by a Southern, old school Black woman, who taught me my history and culture. Being arouind these women, I see how much they have missed out on.

The one chick with the black husband is just like white people when it comes to work. They were talking about cutbacks at work and she was freaking out, saying that she hadn't slept hardly at all, worrying about her job and her job makes her who she is...:smh:

She's like those whiteys who kill themselves when they lose their jobs. Her whole mentality is white, but society sees her as black. It's really fucked up.

you sure do like looking down on people over trivial shit, but pics would be appreciated.

I'm not looking down on them, they are both nice people. It's just something I've observed when I have conversations with them. Their whole mentalities are white, because they were raised by white women and their fathers and black families weren't around, so they are clueless to black things.

I'm pretty sure the same is said about Biracial women raised by Black mothers in the White Community. I have a couple of biracial female friends (raised by Black mothers) who have all been ostracized by their white peers for being too "ethnic" so they find solace in the black community.

I also know a number of biracial females (raised by whites mothers) who are cool as hell and are very aware of their "blackness" and know how to throw down in the kitchen...and know how to cook soul food and can handle watching a Tyler Perry movie...lol.

:hmm:She's not missing anything....

Not watching Tyler Perry movies and not knowing how to cook Soul Food are a plus....Those girls aren't missing anything. Lol.

So because they can't cook soul food they missed out? She can probably cook shit black woman can and vice versa. She missed out on the black church?...................:hmm: More black people need to miss that shit.

I suppose these women weren't taught to blame black men for the bad choices they make in life either.

If the woman is educated , can balance a checkbook has a career and is hitting her goals she hasn't missed anything. (Not saying our beautiful full blooded sistas can't do these things) Soul Food is nothing to miss. If you can read you can cook. I wish our people in general would forget about soul food. It has put enough of us in the ground before our time. Soul food is really peasant food. Poor whites have similar diets its just that proportionally there are fewer of them. Poor White trash Cooking turned Elvis into a Blimp and contributed to his early demise sitting on the can. Once or twice a year is more than enough. There is so much more to our culture and history than greasy salty food, obscure church etiquette or a magazine.

Lola I don't see that as missing out. You dont know your history. You know facts from a few generations back. Do you know what plantation you come from or what part.of africa ? You condemning them chicks when they just have a different upbringing. Sounds like youre a fucking hater. You probably be looking greasy when you see they hair compared to your fried out doo.

So it boils down to not being able to make artery clogging chicken poison correctly?

You sounding like your chin got fat rolls. Smh.

*I will take that last comment back for some titty pics*

to you coon ass motherfuckers in this thread:

soul food need not be unhealthy to still be good you pricks.

Black culture is amazing and beautiful, colorful and enlightening. the entire world envies it, copies, it, emulates it, and abandons their cultures to follow it.

i swear you all are a pack of miserable soulless twat rags up in here.

Are they cute though? An attractive woman without church, Tyler Perry and probably doesn't have the attitude. I'm all on it.

Fried chicken can be very healthy.

but if the foods you mentioned represent the extent of your knowledge of soul food, then yeah, you don't know SHIT about the subject.

google healthy soul food bitch.

for the past 20 years Black folks have been getting better with food choices, but just as i said earlier, coonskin motherfuckers like you will ONLY concentrate on the most NEGATIVE aspects of Black culture, while EVERYBODY else is trying to copy it.

Sorry, Lola, but I'm calling bullshit here. On the same I know little about "African American" household and I'm a first generation "African American" born to African parents. I don't much about soul food but I'm astounded over how little blacks (not outside of America) still saying fuck Africa! You never catch Asians saying fuck Asia! or whites crying fuck Europe! but I guess I know little about life, also.

Oh fuck. You gonna train a "mixed" woman black girl bitterness? And she put you up on mixed girl confusion?

Oh, for the poster with the Obama comment: remember, ain't know civil minded father of color (in the family or gone) gonna press his son that he could become President one day. You weren't hearing that in no family of color. That's his white upbringing talking. That level of optimism is usually unheard of. (tell me different, please!)
