I need the squad's help...

I currently own and drive an Infinity QX56. It's old I know but I like this shit!

I'm looking to move up and I need some advice. Got a budget around 60k so I'm going used but I'm trying to find the best bang for the buck.

GMC Yukon Denali 2018/2019 model

I had looked at that one.

Funny thing is...when I bought my QX56 I drove all over Atlanta looking for a Denali. All of the ones I found were fucked up in one way or the other though.

I walked in to a spot off of Mountain Industrial and saw that QX. First one I had ever looked at and bought it on the spot.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about something else.

I like that G Wagon. It's not as expensive as you would think. A used one 2016 is right around 65k. Which isn't bad for me. It's just smaller on the inside than I like.

I'm a big boy lol.

I keep reading reviews on the QX80 and every review says it is trying to compete with the higher end Lexus LX570. I didn't know that was the standard in SUV's? :dunno:

What year is your QX?

I got a 2008. I bought it around 2011 and it's still only got around 135k miles on it. I've had the money to buy a new one for a while but I've been holding off on it. Got a big raise so now I'm like why the hell not!

GMC needs to update their consoles. That dashboard is plain as hell for the amount of money you are spending. Thats the reason we didn't get a new one.

That's been the one hold off for me. The outside design is a beast but the inside is plain even on the higher trim models. That's what made me jump on the QX in the first place.

How about looking at the new Nissan Armada 2018/19 SL or Platnium trim or go for a certified pre owned Infiniti QX80 2016/17 model for about 40 grand

The QX80 is my top choice right now. The Armada is almost the same but the engine is way smaller.

I just wanted to get some other opinions.

Post some pics of your QX56, how much you looking to sell it for?

I haven't really thought about it yet. I've had a few asking about it. I've seen them selling for 10k for that year and mileage.

I'll be sure to let you know though. I'll probably look deeper into it around spring break. First week in April.

This is funny. I was looking up stock pics of the QX56 just for the hell of it.

This is literally my truck. Same color, same interior, same tint. This could have been the old ad for my truck. lol

My rims are powder coated gray though. They are chipping and it's chrome underneath. Why someone would powder coat chrome wheels is beyond me? :dunno:

I got damn near 300k miles outta my Tahoe and it was still running great when I sold it

What did the interior look like? The drivetrains are usually solid, everything else falls apart especially the interior components (i.e. dash pad, controls, door locks & handles, seats). I've owned multiple examples of most generations of Tahoes, Yukons, Denalis, Suburbans, and Escalades. The above has held true to most the models.

it was decent, there was some shit that got a lil loose, plastic trim and shit, but nothing too major. I had it a long ass time, I'd say nothing I wouldn't expect out of a 10 year old vehicle.

I got a 2007...166K miles, still holding it down plus very easy to work on. You should be able to find the new body style for 40k used. But I just cop a C7 and my lac only comes out in the rain.

Since this is a porn board, laying down the 2nd and 3rd row seats. Turns into a hotel on wheels, shit I done hit chicks in the movie theater parking lot.

I have a 2017 QX80. Love it. Rides nice and the interior is nice. ONLY DRAWBACK AND ITS A BIG ONE IS THE TECHNOLOGY IS SERIOUSLY LACKING. No Apple play or android play for the price of this truck is ridiculous. Plus, during long rides after about 30 minutes your bluetooth will start acting up. You won't be able to switch songs with the wheel switch. You'll have to manually do it with your music player. Volume will work though. Plus, when you make a phone call through the bluetooth, often times you'll hang up the call but it will still show up on the screen as if the call is still in progress. Wont hang up when you press the button either. Now, I thought it was just my truck but after reading reviews this happens in a lot of QX80's. Now while this sounds minor it's a MAJOR annoyance and inexcusable for the amount of money you pay for this truck. I love the ride, space in the interior, drivers seat is very comfortable, plenty of storage space to haul whatever. Overall it's a quality truck. For the 2018 models they've flattened the hood so you don't see that hump. It never bothered me so I doubt you'll even notice it when driving. I never do. It's thirsty, but what do you expect for a big truck like this. It gets up on the highway. Very comfortable ride for long distance trips. It's much better on gas on the highway. If they don't fix the technology in the next round of QX80's which are expected 2020, I'm going with the Mercedes GLS 450. Interior is top notch. Ride is phenomenal too. Drives more like a car which I actually dont like, but some prefer that. I wanna feel like I'm driving a big ass truck and that's what the QX80 gives you. The S-Class interior and technology you can't beat. I do like the Navigator but for $70,000 Lincoln dun lost their fuckin minds not adding a sunroof. Car does have wireless charging for your phone too. Major go!! I think the LX570 does as well. I'm just not feeling Lexus truckt at all.
