So here is the problem with that.
The price of the card is partly driven by the bounty set by the Pirates.
The card is a 1/1 and since there is no other comparable card the price is what a collector is willing to pay.

This is a Skenes 10/15 RPA (rookie, patch, auto) the patch is a jersey size tag which we know only 1 tag per jersey, so probably only 2 cards out of the 15 will have a piece of that tag.
This card is available to buy now on Ebay for $2500.

Here is another Skenes 1/1 relic RPA

Can be purchased for 50k

Now take into consideration MJ Fleer rookie PSA 10, there are only 6 in existence.
We can all agree he is hands down the greatest player to step foot on the court.
This has a 500k price tag on it.
Difference being Jordan has already proved his value and worth, Skenes has a long, long, long way to go.

Also take in to consideration there is no tax or seller fees on the Pirates offer.
While I do think that Skenes card is going to draw a 6 figure price tag, I dont think it will touch the Pirates offer value wise.

IMO if it wasnt for the Pirates offer, I would probably prefer the Elly debut over the Skenes.
Less likely as an infielder to suffer from a career ending or debilitating injury.

Must have grading and manufactured value in cards sucks. Older cards are now devalued by case buyers and money seekers.

Glad that I had kids that weren't interested in sports cards.
