Anne hathaway to play selina kyle in the dark knight rises!

I don't think Anne can cut it as Catwoman. She may pull off Selina but she has never done anything remotely close to Catwoman. She's made a career of being meek and mild. I just can't see her as aggressive. And she is NOT sexy - she's attractive. There's a difference.

She's a first class ACTRESS!!! She can "play" sexy if that's what's necessary.

Nolan is a genius .I was hoping for Angelina Jolie ,but Anne will be great as Catwoman.
Just watch her performances in Havoc,or Love and Other Drugs if you have any doubts.
This is the perfect time for Catwoman to enter Batman's life in the films.Another great casting decision just watch Hardy in Bronson...NUFF SAID!!!

Doesn't mean she can pull it off. Kathy Bates is a first class actress but casting her as Selina Kyle would be a mistake. I suspect that they will change the character of Catwoman to fit Anne (as is often done in Hollywood) rather than try to make her play the character of Catwoman as she is known.
To quote Thomas the dance instructor from Black Swan: "If I were only casting the white swan (in this case Selina Kyle), she would be yours." The part of Selina, Anne can do in her sleep. Its the Catwoman part that she may fail in.

I thought Gyllenhal was an upgrade (no pun intended)from Katie Holmes. She brought a sense of gravity to the role that I didn't sense with Holmes. Not that I had a problem with Holmes in the first one, I just thought Maggie was better.

yeah gyllenhall did a great job i thought. she's not super cute but she brought a lot of personality to the role.

He's already a lonely, isolated character and his woman died in teh last one so that space is open.

Let me answer for you.

Blunt won't respond (though not it possibly will since challenged) because Blunt only responds contrary to the sentiment of the majority of posters in a thread.

Since you tossed out a question on a film that wasn't talked about in this particular thread, you'd get a milquetoast response at best, and more likely no response at all.

Now, if there were say five to seven posts discussing Inception positively, you'd probably get a response with a negative tilt. And Vice versa.

True. Should be interesting come July 2012. Looking forward to seeing Tom Hardy's role in the film. He worked with Nolan in Inception, and was great in Bronson (not directed by Nolan).
