Allen Edmonds sale.....$100 off.....get your shoe game right!

What's the appeal for shoes this expensive? Do they really feel better, last longer? These don't look any better than what I get from Nordstrom's for $60-90.

You may be correct, but it's about better/softer leather. If you don't take care of ur feet, ur whole body suffers. All of the nerves in your body are in ur feet. You would be surprised on the comfort level.

The shoe quality, feel, and durability. The soles are also backed by a lifetime guarantee. I cannot stress enough the importance of shoe game on the wear & tear on your feet and back, plus the ladies ALWAYS notice and appreciate your style! If your money is tight, I would get 1 black wingtip and then 1 brown wingtip---you're set!

Quality! Those shoes will last you a lifetime and still look good. Classic style that's never outdated. Think about the difference between say a Camero vs. a Caddy. Both look good but one is going to give you a smoother ride.

The quality may be better, but you can't wear a shoe for a lifetime. Styles change and you have maybe a five year window. Also, the shoe doesn't necessarily have to be comfortable the more expensive it is. You can add CO!fort by add inserts and outfitting the shoe to best fit your foot. The quality of the leather and stitching is better, but if you shine your shoes and keep them right then most people can't tell. Plus, there are only three shoes in that bunch that seems worth the purchase. The others are wack as fuck! This is my taste. So, I suggest go with what you like.

yo those grayson loafers look like they sell them with a bowl of pleasantries..look like something an amish schoolboy with the curly jew sideburns would wear while bein an alter boy

I used to walk like an old man fucking with cheap shoes. I rocked Allen Edmonds for awhile. Probably 6 pairs. Worth the money. Now I only rock Salvatore Ferragamo. Let's not discuss the dozens of pairs. Just bought a pair last weekend. They feel more comfortable than gym shoes. Living close to some of their outlet stores really helps. Don't pay full price for shit if u can help it.

looks like the normal price i pay for my dress shoes anyway.
They dont have size 18s,....so they cant do anything for me.
i have to order my shit from Friedman's in Atlanta and have it shipped to me.
besides......Friedman's has a more vast selection to choose from.
Seen that coon ass Charles Barkley up in there one day.

Just catch Cole Haan on a good sale for half these prices or less and you'll be good. I will NOT spend more than $180 on a pair of shoes.

Cole Haan's quality doesn't even come close coming from someone that owns both. You can also send them back and have them recrafted.

These look just like Johnson & Murphy's but are about 80-100 more per pair.

I notice that the inside of the shoe is a premium material which could be why they're more expensive.

Good drop.

I'm totally not interested in re crafting shoes. I'd rather get a new one. I'm not hard on shoes anyway.

Bruh I have several pairs and they are the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever owned; I'm in them 8-10/day in the office and feet feel great at the end of the day. Plus their recrafted service takes a worn pair and makes them look and feel damn near new.

They have a summer sale that's as good or even better than this one but $100 off is a good deal.

Alternative, you can get factory 2nd from www.shoebank.com; many of them have slight flaws that only someone really searching could see but you can save 20%-30% off the regular price.

Concur. CH has gone done quality wise since they moved production from the US to India about 6-7 years ago. They still ask a premium prices for a less than premium product.

Top dress shoes IMO:

Allen Edmonds
To Boot New York
Donald J Pliner
John W Nordstrom (Nordstrom house brand)
Andrew Marc

Damn I'm realizing I flat out have no sense of fashion, I flat out don't pay attention to people shoes and would not be able to tell the difference by just looking from these shoes compared to cheaper ones. I'm about to go find one of those Dr. Scholl's kiosk and get some custom inserts heard that shit makes a big difference.

I like these...seriously:D

This is a great investment for your wardrobe, you have to place a pair of AE's next to what you get from Nordstrom's and see the difference.

Yeah, premium cork that's supposed to mold to your foot, hand-stitching, etc.

I own many pairs of J&M including the Aristocrat line. They're pretty much my exclusive brand. Since I appreciate quality I'm giving at least one pair of these a try.

Just for the record, get familiar with the shoebank near where you live. They sell the factory seconds for shoes that have some minor defect that 99% of the time no one would even notice. You can easily catch shoes on sale through shoebank for $200 or less. They'll send you pics of the shoes and ship them to you.

next time your'e in Nordstroms looking for 60 -90 shoes try on a pr of those 1300.00 Edward Green Shoes you'll see a REAL difference in shoes and what leather really is

Never purchases this brand of shoe. Does anyone know how they match up in terms of quality to Mezlan? That been my brand of choice for a while now.... May have to check these out tho

I appreciate the feedback. I thought I was up on my shoes, I buy AT LEAST a pair of black and brown shoes every year. Most are only comfortable for a few months, but they look fly to me.

I'm gonna make an investment, I've never had a pair last more than a few years.
